The food is exceptional. They have a wide variety of menu items to choose from. The waitress was very nice and she delivered our food pretty fast.
The only downside is the seating is crowded and the chairs are old and uncomfortable.
Overall I score Chubby’s 4.75 stars.

Small, warm, inviting place to eat. Chubby’s is less than 60 seconds from the freeway. Its the small town comfortable place to eat that appeals to me and the Mr. You can walk through the bar which has alot of seating to the dining room if you prefer not to sit on a barstool.
The beautiful blonde bartender was lightening fast in offering service. The kitchen made the food rapidly 🙂 Look at the pictures, the biggest, freshest, most hot and tender chicken strips we’ve ever seen. The blue cheese on the burger was huge and chunky and for blue cheese fans I recommend it.
Definitely going to be our go to spot when we run errands North.

Went to Chubbys for a birthday dinner. I was craving steak and was not disappointed. The New York Steak with Shrimp was very good. The sides were mushrooms, baked potato and corn. With salad and bun. The three shrimp were steamed and served with butter. Nice sized and pretty good for Montana. This has probably ruined me for the other restaurants in Helena that serve steaks. Friday & Saturday they do a prime rib, which 3 of our party had. The servings were huge and not over priced. Too full for dessert.

A nice little bar and restaurant not quite halfway between Helena and Boulder, this is definitely the place to go for a burger and a beer in Clancy Montana! The food was good and the servers were friendly. Recommend going early because the place can get crowded, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings. Also be aware that currently they don’t serve food on Sundays.

I hadn’t been to Chubby’s for several years. The last time was pretty average. I tried it again and the food and service were excellent. I had the jalapeno burger. Perfectly cooked, hand pattied, 10 oz burger with all the expected condiments. The service was over the top great. Cold draught beers and very reasonable prices. I gave a 4 star simply because their fries are battered and I like them plain. As far as battered fries go, they were very crunchy; the others in my group loved them.. Not the greatest photo, the burger was messy, just the way they should be. LOL

What happened Chubbys?? We’ve been going here for years now and went to get a burger tonight and they’ve changed the burgers and fries. It wasn’t for the better either. They don’t use real bacon but bacon bites now and the grilled chicken sandwich was a tiny poor quality piece of meat. The service was good and the waitress was very attentive. Come on chubbys we love supporting local establishments but this was bad quality food.

We used to eat here about once a week, 2 years ago. We quit going because we waited 45 min for 4 cheeseburgers, when it wasn’t busy. Thought we would try it again today, the waitress sucked. Ignored my kid. Chicken strips were burnt. I thought the mayonnaise was coming out of her own pocket.. 2 packets for 5 people. The cheeseburgers and halibut were delicious. We generally tip well but when the attitude sucks so does the tip.
