Am from Memphis. Bbq is everything. So listening to your reviews on google I went to try this bbq
The atmosphere is friendly. The lady was nice and showed me the menu and the special of the day
The mom and pop place was a gathering place. Nice
The food looked very good. My order was to go. I took my food and went next door to the parking lot Dollar general. The meat was very well seasoned and was tender. I would have enjoyed it but on the second bite it was fridge cold
I took it home and heated it up but by that time I lost my desire.

This charming little place needs to be visited by anyone feeling like they need from scratch home cooking. Their bbq is tender and juicy. I haven’t been in a place that felt that warm and inviting in a long time. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is lovely. I love supporting local business. Also, the best slaw in the area for your bbq sandwiches.

I got the special of the day which came with 1 meat and 2 sides. Grand total of $8. Huge portions and I still had leftovers for dinner. I’ll be back soon when I’m in the area and will recommend to others.

I was in Chattanooga recently seeing patients. I Googled places to eat near me. I picked this one. I’m so happy I did! This is obviously a family owned and operated business, which I love. I ordered the hamburger steak and oh my! I had to give props to the cook. I felt like I was eating a meal at my grandmother’s table. Absolutely amazing. I ordered bbq and corn nuggets to take with me on the road. When I am in town again, I will definitely go back.

In town to see Rock City, I passed by this “Chubby place” on my way to Del Taco. So I’m eating a burrito and still thinking about BBQ. Look up the reviews online and they were awesome. So off to Chubby’s BBQ I go and boy, did I benefit from that decision. The pork sandwich I got made for a yummy meal up on Lookout Mtn. Great service too! Nice to give some of my currency to a well run local family business.

The owner was as sweet as can be. The food was great. A gentleman who looked to have worked in the back came out and bussed tables to keep things clean and ready for new customers. My server with the tattoos on her neck however, could have had a better attitude. Perhaps a lesson on customer service from the amazing owner would help.
