The waiter “ Sun” was fantastic and was very accommodating. He walked us through the billing process because honestly you are paying for the charcoal, the seasoning, and if you want salt & pepper…lol This is not a place to get full… this is more for a very light lunch or you are in the mood for JUST appetizers. “ Sun” was by far one of the best waiters/ support we needed to get us through the menu

I was genuinely so excited to try out this new authentic Chinese skewer place, expecting it to be similar to ones in China. The atmosphere is great, and the decorations are awesome.

However, the portion sizes for 1.3 for EACH skewer was absolutely unacceptable. There were 3 pieces of meat at best for the skewers, and the vegetables (despite you’d think be cheaper) were still the same skimpy amounts for the same price as meat.

I left this place having about TWENTY skewers and still felt full. You could get all you can eat meat at so many other places for this amount of price.

Not worth it, unless you have so much money that you don’t know where to spend it. I will admit, it was tasty JUST UNFULFILLING

It was a fantastic experience for my kids. They love to help themselves with bbq. The food was pretty good, can’t beat anything right off charcoal. The price is reasonable, $1.3 per skewer. If you become member, it’s $1 each. Lots of drink choices and meat choices.

Skewers had variety of protein options, expected more seasoning and options of chili oil or soy sauce. Rice was more on the dry side. Golden fruit drink was delicious. Ordered noodles, had too much cumin for my taste. Overall good for the experience. I believe $3.99 for the charcoal box at our table, $1.00 seasoning PER person which include cumin, dry spice, sesame seeds, dry chili powder. $1.30 per skewer (maybe a bite of food). There should be better instructions on having people glove up to select their options at the fridge. More for an experience it will be a fling. reminded me of steak and stone.

Love the idea, kinda fun to cook your own food. But very bland overall for me, they have seasoning that you are charged for automatically, but i would love to have the meats premarinated. Kinda spendy, you have to pay for your Charcoal and every stick you eat. Wish there were some more options for veggies and meat.
Restaurant looks kinda run-down, but i think they designed that way bc it’s newly opened.
If feel like if it’s too busy, it’s hard to track down your server. They have to bring you soda refills & beverages.

the chicken heart is goated
the land meat leaves something to be desired as it is tough after cooking. maybe my table was bad at grilling
the seafood is pretty good though, as are the sausages and veggies
avoid coming when it is busy (ie weekends) cause everyone is just going to crowd around the freezers where all the meat is stored
service was kind of slow, esp with checkout. probably a monday thing
the dessert is more of a visual gimmick than something good to end your meal, using canned mangoes and some gelatin/cream based strawberry bear. see figure 1

cabbage is must grab

edit: thank you for the ai response

The food tasted okay, but I was very disappointed by the portion size. It was very small for $1.3 per skewer. The price of meat and vegetables is the same. For example, a three pieces of broccoli or three pieces of pepper cost $1.30, which isn’t great value. The cold noodles and fried rice are also relatively small portions. You really need to order a lot more to satisfy a large appetite, and that will likely cost you at least $50 just for the food. I was also surprised that charcoal and seasoning were also subject to a surcharge.

I came here for the first time last month and now try and make it here weekly. Amazing selection of meets and vegetables and even more menu options besides bbq skewers. Great appetizers pot options as well. If you are just visiting then don’t bother getting an account but if you plan to visit, see my thoughts on the membership details below.

If you plan on visiting more than once then grab the membership. You will save $0.25 on each skewer plus the cost for charcoal and toppings (sesame seeds, chili powder, etc). Membership costs $58 but you get $10 off your first visit plus the other cost mentioned above. You also get $30 off on your birthday. I have saved about $15/per visit (plus the extra $10 on the first visit) so it has paid for itself in 4 visits without my $30 birthday discount. Plus you get points to purchase sides like white rice.
