finally got to try this place and I’m so impressed! The food was absolutely delicious — everything was super fresh and high quality. You can really taste the difference, especially with the wagyu. So worth it.
The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, perfect for a nice dinner without feeling too formal. And shoutout to our server, Leo — he was so friendly, attentive, and easy to talk to. He made the whole experience even better.
We will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend if you’re looking for great shabu and amazing service!

Absolutely amazing experience! The A5 Wagyu was incredibly delicious—getting the Diamond set was worth it.The service was outstanding, with Liz B who was attentive and welcoming throughout our visit. The atmosphere was warm and very relaxing, making the whole dining experience even better. The other dishes we tried were also wonderful. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be coming back!

Delicious hot pot experience! Our waitress Kara was so great and helpful as it was our first time. Kara was very kind and welcoming and wished us happy new year. Highest quality ingriedents and beef and sides and flavorful sides. 90 mins does feel a bit rushed and the restaurant is small so over stimulating at moments with getting up so much but you get used to it. 4 people party is perfecrt, smaller space so large groups would be hard. We got silver tier and felt like we got the full experience! Will be returning! No reservations as of now and wait time was about 1 hr.

Lots of variety of wagyu and sides -the kimchi xiao long bao, takoyaki, shumai, and mussels were my personal favorites. The yearly membership is worth it, if you are a planning on returning.

Dropped by the new Chubby Cattle in Novi during their friends & family soft opening week. They actually weren’t taking walk-ins during this time, but the manager noticed us pulling up and still welcomed us in since we’d driven quite a way to get there. That small act of kindness really set the tone for the night.
We went with the Gold tier, which includes Japanese A5 wagyu, Australian A9+ wagyu, and American wagyu — all beautifully marbled and melt-in-your-mouth tender. The Japanese and Australian cuts were especially worth it.
For broths, we chose the classic sukiyaki (a perfect match for the wagyu’s natural flavor with classic raw pasteurized eggs dipping) and the Japanese tomato soup base. I’m a tomato lover, so I even added fresh tomatoes from the veggie bar and some leek for extra flavor — the soup turned out rich, tangy, and absolutely perfect. The sauce station and veggie bar are self-serve, well organized, and kept fresh throughout.
We also tried the lobster dumplings, wagyu tartare, and roasted bone marrow as appetizers — all flavorful, rich, and beautifully plated. And don’t miss the self-served wagyu curry rice — it’s one of those easy-to-overlook gems that totally delivers besides the meat. I’d honestly buy it if they sold it as a lunch bento!
Our server, Miles, was fantastic — super attentive, explained the menu clearly, and always made sure we had what we needed, even though most of the setup is self-serve.
The interior feels like a lively Japanese night market — warm lanterns, clean booths, and a fun, energetic atmosphere that still feels comfortable. Even though it’s a soft opening, everything ran smoothly and felt genuinely polished.
Definitely one of the most exciting new spots in Novi.
If you’re into wagyu or Japanese hotpot, this place is worth the drive.

The interior of this restaurant is gorgeous!! Very Japanese inspired! ACYE Wagyu Hotpot, if you get gold tier, you get a serving of Japanese A5 wagyu, and it was so good! Plus we ordered their specialty dishes like the Wagyu tartare and bone marrow and they were so delicious! And we ordered a lot of Australian and American Wagyu, they were great quality meats. Buffet had plenty of fresh vegetables, a sauce station, a rice dispenser which I really liked and Japanese beef curry to pour over it! Our server Kristi is amazing! She was super attentive, kept our broth topped up and always checked in to see if we needed anything. The rest of the staff were prompt and quick to clear plates and happy to help if you have any questions.

First time coming here after being to multiple kbbqs and brazilian steakhouses, I can definitely say that this place is worth the hype. The wagyus were delicious and juat melts right in your mouth, but what I enjoyed the most was the customer service. Our server, Alan, was really helpful with our creating & explaining our membership plan and he was a great guy overall. 10/10 will try again, bars. Get this man Alan a raise, or even better, a promotion. MAKE HIM MANAGER

Absolutely loved our dinner at Chubby Cattle Wagyu Shabu House in Novi! The decor is stunning — glowing lanterns, modern Japanese vibes, and cozy booths. We tried the Gold Wagyu Set, and the meat quality was outstanding — beautifully marbled, buttery, and fresh. The broth (Tom Yum) was rich, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the meats.
Desserts were a highlight too — the matcha roll, chocolate mille crêpe cake, and egg tart (made fresh!) were all light and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. Highly recommend signing up for the Chubby Club for perks across their other restaurants. Perfect for a group of friends!

Definitely a great selection of meats and really amazing speciality items. Make sure to put your name on the waitlist inside at least an hr before seating if you’re going around dinner time.
