Took our family here for a birthday dinner, and the experience was wonderful. The meat was delicious and high quality, as always, and the level of service was exceptional. Our server, Dylan, was incredibly sweet, attentive, and quick to bring everything we needed.

The menu changes slightly from time to time, and they now offer eel and red shrimp for grilling—both of which were quite good. Our family was very happy with both the food and the service. We will definitely keep coming back to this location!

Steven was our server, and he was absolutely wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we sat down. He checked in at all the right times and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was incredibly tasty, and every dish was full of flavor. We had such a great experience and will definitely be back!

Enjoyed my first visit to Chubby Cattle. Most of the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was unique and fun. Service, however, felt minimal—aside from plate clearing and a grill change, there wasn’t much interaction. We were asked by three different staff members which menu we wanted to order from, and there seemed to be a strong push to download the app and enter a referral code, which felt a bit excessive.

The ordering process itself was straightforward and largely independent of the waiter. I do wish the meats were labeled on the plates so it would be easier to identify favorites and reorder them. The drink, sauce, and side bars were creative and well done, and I enjoyed many of the dishes, especially the carpaccio. That said, it’s pretty pricey, so I don’t really see myself visiting more than once a year.

My wife, my son, and I visited Chubby Cattle in Rowland Heights after our Frank N Sons visit since we are never this far south east in the San Gabriel valley and chose the Diamond Tier experience, and it genuinely exceeded every expectation from start to finish.

Major shoutout to Kevin! Kevin was amazing. He was attentive, friendly, and an excellent conversationalist. He checked in at perfect intervals, guided us through the menu, and even helped us navigate the Chubby Rewards app. His hospitality truly elevated our night. Because of him, this visit ended up being better than our recent Mikiya and Chubby Skewers experiences. He really set the bar for what great service should feel like.

I’ve been to the Monterey Park and San Gabriel Chubby Cattle locations as well, and the Rowland Heights store is by far the best when it comes to service, organization, and overall cleanliness. Everything felt more polished, well-maintained, and smoothly run.

The restaurant has a high-energy modern vibe with warm glowing panels, sleek grill setups, and an impressive layout that makes the whole space feel premium and immersive. The arcade corner is a fun bonus, especially for families. It feels like a full experience, not just a meal.

We tried a wide range of items and loved everything.
The beef cuts were exceptional, from the beautifully marbled premium selections to the thin-sliced cuts that cooked quickly and practically melted.
The Diamond Member beef items that came in the box were a standout, with tender, richly flavored pieces topped with fresh herbs and garnishes. The appetizers and sides were strong as well. The sliders were delicious, and the rice and seaweed helped balance the richness of the meats. Everything arrived fresh, well-portioned, and visually impressive.

The warm egg tart was the cherry on top of the entire dinner, flaky, warm, creamy, and absolutely perfect. I truly hope it never leaves the menu and stays forever. It’s the ideal ending to the meal.

Rowland Heights has officially become our favorite location, and we’ll definitely be back.

I stopped by based on the reviews, though it seems the negative ones may have been filtered out meaning actual score is up to debate. The restaurant offers three tiers: **$55 Silver**, **$75 Gold**, and **$85 Diamond**, with the Silver tier being the best value. It’s located in a busy, predominantly Asian plaza with a few shops you can walk around to help “walk off” the all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ. Parking, however, is very limited depending on the time.

Once inside, you’re greeted by a mostly clean dining area and a playlist that feels straight out of Six Flags. Interestingly, they also have simple arcade machines to keep you occupied if your table isn’t ready. There’s a **90-minute dine-in limit** and a **70-minute ordering limit**.

The tables were clean and the service was friendly, but not very efficient. You grab your own drinks and order through a tablet—and remember that time limit? The tablet also restricts how much and how frequently you can order. My grill went out a few times, which delayed the meal even more. The small dishes (kimchi, sigeumchi, flat rice cakes, etc.) are buffet-style and self-served, which isn’t ideal from a hygiene standpoint. I’d prefer they be brought directly from the kitchen whenever we run out, especially since getting them ourselves eats into our limited dining time.

Our server was great, but overall service was slow and difficult to get when we needed something. Most of the food tasted good, with some items better than others. The meat quality was average—not bad, not great—and some cuts had more fat than I’d prefer.

Overall, I do like the restaurant, but the numerous time constraints add up and make the experience feel rushed, especially considering I’m cooking my own food, serving myself, and ordering through a restricted tablet. They also ran out of ice cream and a few other items we wanted, which is disappointing since we’re paying for a full package that wasn’t fully available.

Reservations are recommended. You will need to wait in line to check in with the hostess, then wait again for your table. Once your seated. The servers are very knowledgeable and friendly. Everything is very fresh. The food was delicious.

Steven was a fantastic server. Was so kind to pick up my 3 year olds pokemon cards from the floor several times when he was getting situated. He helped set up the booster seat and guided us on how to order. First time at chubby cattle and it was a wonderful experience! Kids under 100cm eat free. Normally its difficult to get my son to eat but he loves the wagyu brisket 🙂

First time here for birthday party of 8. Everyone must be present to check in. The hostess literally pointed at each one of us to count. Other party frantically looked for his party and bumped into us with no apology. Then we were seated in a booth shoulder to shoulder with one grill. The orders were timed and limited to 10 items per order every 7 minutes. Each dish is so small that hardly feed all at any given time. There were a waygu burgers sign but no burgers. Total chaos and I left with empty stomach when the time was up. The AYCE sushi were sliced paper thin, a tiny hand roll counted as one item…This is not my cup of tea. Highly disappointed and do not go as big party. I think they should extend the time limit or number of items for large party.
The atmosphere definitely not relaxing. Lines of people to get sauce, side dishes, fountain drinks,…like the food line for charity. Servers were busy dropping and picking up dishes…..never asked how was everything?
Idk what the fuss about this place. For the money spent on eight, Definitely there is better option then the dining experience we had here.

Our server Celina was absolutely amazing! We came here to celebrate our Dad’s 50th birthday and Celina made sure our experience was one to remember. The food itself was absolutely delicious, I’d definitely recommend the premium menu options such as the uni. Celina was super sweet, had a good energy to her, and was very friendly overall. She even helped us cook at one point, since she could see that my family and I were completely overwhelmed by the amount of meat we ordered, and our mom had wasted our grill space on grilling her mushrooms. Overall, such a great dinning experience, with excellent service, only downside would be that they ran out of their dessert cakes, causing a mini tantrum from my 9 year old sister. Otherwise 10/10!
