It was a great place to stop by for lunch. The cheeseburger and hot mess burger were delicious. The waitress kept the lemonade topped off. My coworker and I have a shared chili cheese and fried mushrooms, they were fried to perfection. So good! I highly recommend Christy’s Country Cooking next time you are in the area.

Stopped in for lunch on Sunday. Hoping for burgers after looking at reviews, but the Sunday specials were meatloaf, pork chops and fried chicken. There was a long list of sides/veggies to choose from too. Hubby got pork chops and mashed potatoes, with lemonade. I got meatloaf with Mac and cheese, butter beans and green beans, and a half-and-half tea to drink. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! And the service was great! Wish I lived closer.

If you are okay with waiting (it’s just two girls from what I saw) then I would pick a seat and have one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. Imagine a cross between a homemade burger and a restaurant burger! The bun was nice and soft and the toppings, while being simple, were nice and fresh! The fries are natural cut fries that are deep fried for that delicious fatty taste. Don’t be counting calories if you want to eat here! We also had the cheese sticks and those were cooked perfectly! Had a nice cheese pull but not hot enough that it burns your mouth! Thank you Christy! We will returning shortly.

Before you go, know Christy does everything. Making service wonderful knowing your server is also your cook and cleaner. So, 5 stars as everything is done properly and faster than most places with large staff. The food has always been great. Everything I have tried to date, I will eat again. The atmosphere is like eating at home. They do their best to talk with everyone, and most of the guest do the same. It is a very friendly and welcoming place. I personally love they have a dog. Some people may not. But for me, it adds to the comfort of home meals. So far, I have only had breakfast meals. I recommend all of it. Will be trying lunch at some point as well.

My wife and I were vacationing in the Aiken area and after a couple of days of eating some of the food in the downtown area and the chain restaurants we weren’t impressed so we sought to find a hole in the wall place with some great authentic local food. We came across Christy’s and decided to try it, let me start off by saying Christy was better than any waitress I’ve ever had in all my years and her food is phenomenal. Not sure if it’s the ingredients she uses or all the love she puts into her cooking. I would not pass up an opportunity to eat here you’ll regret it!!!

Christy’s has that down home southern charm! The nice welcome you get is the same whether it’s your first time or if you’ve been there plenty! The food is good is too, lots of flavor and just good ol country cooking! It is a nice out of the way place to grab something good to eat.
