Enduring bar/eatery in a strip mall preparing refined, modern American meals in warm, cozy environs.

UPDATE: JULY 10, 2018 RESTAURANT IS Closed. However Crabcakes and Filet entrees were great, prices were market rate but decor and dessert menu should be updated. Would have rated 5 stars but made a reservation on a Monday then told a week later via a call they were closed. Must be a call based on how busy they would be that night.

We liked this place but I have a feeling we won’t be back in a while…I don’t think my wife liked her meal all that much. She had the Grouper (because they didn’t have the Salmon she wanted) and I had the Short Ribs. I thought her fish was good but a little salty, but the rice with it balanced it a bit. I had the Short Ribs and they were delicious. My Old Fashion wasn’t worth the money but at least the food was good. We also had the Calamari which was good as well

I always enjoy Christophers. Great service and innovative and different dishes. But this time? Boy was i disappointed. Several meals were cold in spots. My small piece of fish was nicely cooked but with a few vegatables, a couple pieces of bacon, nothing else. A major disappointment at $30 and I was still hungry. 3 stars are for good service. Food- maybe 2. What’s up??

I recently ate at Christophers for the first time. I thought it was one of the best eating experiences I’ve had since moving to this area (from Boston, a huge foodie town) 3 years ago. One reviewer wrote that there is a lack of “one-of” restaurants – I couldn’t agree more. For such an affluent area, the general public don’t seem to be demanding truly good food but seem to really love their fast food.
Every aspect of our visit to Christophers was a welcome bit of excellence! The ambiance was warm, cozy; contemporary but certainly up-to-date. The service was great; our server recommended a lot of great things that were on par with my description of what I liked (the pomegranate martini, red snapper) Also, the hostess was so warm and welcoming, I felt comfortable immediately! The appetizer (crispy artichoke hearts(??)), if not for everyone, were perfectly prepared. The entree (red snapper w/ mash and onion straws) was surprisingly savory, comforting, and again, perfection. Also, the pomegranate martini is really great:) The cost was also surprisingly low for such a great experience (2 martinis, 2 appetizers, 1 salad (shared), 2 entrees, 1 dessert = $100.41 (without tip)).
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! Go and have a great experience!!

I went with my husband for Valentine’s Day and it was great! We had the crab bruschetta, cowboy steak, crab cakes, and truffles. Everything was great! Only thing I would suggest is requesting the front dining room as opposed to the back, it was much cozier of a look.

Treated my sister and brother-in-law to dinner as a thank you. Pricey menu but the quality of the food is worth what you pay for it. I had the appetizer mussels for my meal, delicious, only a couple didn’t open so I knew they were fresh, very good sherry sauce I believe, sopped it up with fresh bread. My wife got the steak stroganoff and loved it. My sister had the macaroni and cheese (house specialty stuffed lots of goodies), and my brother-in-law and nephew had the shrimp and crab potpie. Everyone was very happy with their meals. Add six drinks and tip for five people just under $200? Not bad at all!

The crab cakes are amazing, everyone is friendly and the service was great. Along with my crabcake I had the Mac and cheese which has chicken and ham (because I am fat). If you enjoy Mac and cheese with an emphasis on cheese you will not be a fan of this. It’s a light cheese sauce. The flavors are very good though just wished it had more cheese and cooked it in the oven a little.
The bread pudding was ok. Again I blame my parents for the southern roots. It was plain not as good as I would hope but it too has good flavor.

Valentine’s Day took wife there for nice dinner. Short staffed. Took 15 minutes to order drinks at bar, no bread, 20 minutes for appetizers, hour for dinner, no silverware, steak overcooked. Will not return, Management must have changed

I have been to Christopher’s a few times. However, lately I have tried visiting the restaurant for dinner after work, and to my surprise I get there and they are closed. We’re talking within the 5:00 hour!! The first time I thought they had closed down. But I waited a couple of months, Googled them to see if there was something posted about them going out of business and much to my surprise they were still very much in business. So, I called. I spoke to a gentleman and told him what happened. He seemed oblivious and said maybe they were closed for an event. I let him know that I would be coming the next day around the same time and asked if they would be open. He assured me they would be. Sure enough, I meet my girlfriend there on 7/19 to take her for her birthday, and they are CLOSED again. It’s 5:00!! What is going on. We waited a little while until a young lady that worked nearby walked past and told us don’t bother waiting. This is their M.O. They decide to not show up whenever they feel like it without notice. I love their food, but I don’t love being hungry and anticipating a good meal only to find out you decided you didn’t feel up to opening that day. Not sure if I’ll be giving this place another chance or not!

We came for a group meal with a menu choice of one of three entrées. I chose the crab cake which was excellent. A companion had the filet and said it was also very good. Efficient friendly service.
