This was unfortunately a disappointing experience. We may give it another shot in the future by ordering basic bagels and cream cheese but today was incredibly disappointing. We called in advance to make sure they still had and served lox bagels and we were told they did (we were 5 minutes out when we called). I got the pulled bacon sandwich and my husband got 2 lox bagels. After about 5-8 minutes, the server came to our table and told us they didn’t have salmon for the lox bagels. We changed our dine in order to carry out and this is where the disappointment really set in. After getting to the car, I opened the bag to an absolute mess.
I understand bacon is greasy but this sandwich was as if they dumped all the grease from the pan directly on the sandwich. The bottom half of the sandwich was inedible due to the grease coming out of it. I could not taste the flavor of the bagel and the texture turned into mush. For a $14 and some change breakfast sandwich, I genuinely was anticipating something better especially given that half of our order couldn’t be fulfilled.

Edit: Though the first visit was a bit lackluster, I understand every establishment has off days. That being said, we do plan on going back to give them another shot. I was also unaware that the pulled bacon sandwich should be ordered as “dry” if you don’t want a greasy sandwich. I do believe that staff should check the quantity of what’s available before assuring customers about availability. Had we been told they only had enough for a few more servings but then they’d be out, we would have placed our order over the phone to ensure our order or waited until another time to try out this place. All of that aside, we can’t ignore the fact that people rave about these bagels so we plan on having a better visit in the future 🙂

The first time I came into their family owned spot was to test out their homemade bagels. I’m from Miami so my standards are high. I was so excited, I brought my husband in anticipation. Sadly, we were turned away for a private party. One day, I went to the local Inverness farmers market and I saw kids selling bagels so I jumped on it, I bought 2, one for each son. They loved them. I still didn’t try them, I bought them because it was a local family but I recognized the Christmas name. Recently, I went to the coin laundry with my son and decided to try them out. I am sooooo glad I did! We both got jalapeño cheddar bagels with cream cheese. The place is sweet, clean and great service. They have so many options. I definitely recommend them. I’ll be back.

Edit to add : it’s unfortunate that she had to “endure“ a customers query and in fact was found to be making a mistake in your bags … I didn’t knock your food and I wasn’t disrespectful just didn’t understand the difference … I didn’t ask for twelve bagels I asked for an explanation . I see a few bad reviews recently maybe a hit a nerve ?? I will continue to purchase from the app when available …. It’s unfortunate you felt explaining your policy and rectifying mistakes are meant to be endured…but that’s small business !!

I purchased through 2 good 2 go. I’ve purchased several times and I will say their bagels are delicious and worth full price but since I can get them on sale at the end of the day, I am happy to purchase the 2 good 2 go bags… last time I ordered, my husband went and picked it up. We live 25 minutes away. You can pick up only from 2 to 4. The store actually closes at three. when my husband arrived last time he was given a bag with 12 bagels. This time I ordered two of their to go bags and got for the double the price ( since I purchased 2 bags ) 12 bagels. I did call the store and spoke to a very nice young young girl who told me there was no manager there, and she could speak to the people in the back, when I explained to her that for the same money, I got 12 bagels last time and only six bagels this time she went on to say that even though the pick up window is from 2 to 4 if you pick up between two and three, when the store is still open, you get less because they’re still trying to sell the rest of their items but if you pick up from 3 to 4 when they are closed, you are more likely to get more in your bag because now the place is closed. I asked again to speak to a manager and she said I’m gonna put you on hold and see if I can speak to the manager. She came back after a few minutes and said that she herself had spoken to the owner and was told that that was a mistake. We should’ve gotten seven bagels and that I could either bring my food back and return it for a refund or return and pick up two more bagels. Note to self … pick up after 3 lol ….Also, their bagels are delicious and worth full price!!

Place might be good but I didn’t get a chance to try. Ordered on door dash. Paid $35 for 2 bacon egg and cheese bagels and baked potato soup. Get a call from my driver. They are out of every soup except tomato basil. So I said that’s fine I guess not the end of the world. Get another call a few minutes later. They are out of bacon and asked if sausage would work. At that point my whole meal is different and I didn’t want it. You’d think for a breakfast place they’d make sure they stayed stocked up on their most basic breakfast ingredients like bacon. This was 10AM on a Friday. Pretty disappointed. Do better at keeping inventory stocked

Stopped in to see what this store was all about. Was greeted with a smile. Baked goods in the case, sandwich menu, and home cooked meals to go. Shepherds Pie Chicken Alfredo, Vegan Gluten free pasta salad, Protein bowls w your choice of shrimp or chicken, brisket with mac n cheese to name a few. All sounded yummy. Plenty of sitting room to eat in, or to go is an optiin also. I will be back to order. And yes, there is a Christmas theme going on. Cute

Citrus County has very poor choices for bagels. Christmas Cafe is decent, but it’s not a great place to visit. Service is usually pretty poor, the christmas decor/music year round is kind of goofy, but we still go occasionally because there just isn’t anywhere else around us in Hernando to get bagels.

Went today, checked the website first and it said they’re open. Drove 20 minutes only to find that they are actually closed. Amazing to me that someone could operate a business in 2026 and not bother to keep their online details – especially hours – updated online. Makes me wonder what else they they ignore.

-Edit-
In reply to the business owner: Yes, I know that it’s posted on the door. That’s how I found out you were closed today after I drove there. Since you’re here on Google replying to bad reviews, maybe now is a good time to update your business hours so that people don’t have to drive to your shop to read a sign taped to the door. Also, some free advice: when you screw up and forget to take care of basic details and a customer complains, try apologizing – it’s a really effective strategy.

Merry Christmas, Mike

Leah is the cutest young server you’re likely to ever experience. It is family owned and operated, so they are very attentive.
My favorite bagel is the cheddar jalapeno with Santa’s special cream cheese. Their bagels and cream cheese are made on-site.

This local bagel spot has the cutest atmosphere and amazing service. The Christmas theme is so fun and cute for the kiddos. The bagels are incredible—perfectly chewy with just the right crisp. The cheddar habanero is a must-try, delivering cheesy goodness with a subtle kick, especially when paired with the creamy scallion schmear. Grab a made-to-order sandwich or take home a half-dozen or dozen. Definitely a go-to for bagel lovers! They currently have the cutest Valentine’s Day rainbow bagels!
