Christine’s Deli is an excellent local spot. They order pastrami and specialty items from the East Coast, and the quality really shows — everything is fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned.
We’ve used them multiple times for large lunch orders, and the food is always delicious. They’re also wonderfully responsive and easy to work with, which makes a big difference when coordinating group orders. Friendly staff, fair prices, and consistently great service. Highly recommend!

A taste of New York deli on the Big Island. Good prices and fresh sandwiches with homemade sides. Best to order ahead for to-go. My wife and I enjoyed the Reuben, Italian, and a side of potato salad. VERY good food.

I cannot rate the food but it did smell amazing. But I refuse to give money to an establishment with that rude of an employee at the counter. My wife and I walked in and were the only ones in the store. No greeting, just a “menus are on the counter”. We looked for a moment and my wife asked what all was in the macaroni salad. The girl behind the counter rudely says “I don’t know” then walks in the back to ask the ingredients. She seemed extremely put off by having to do this. You serve food and some people have allergies . She walked back out and gave the ingredients. Luckily someone else had come in and we let them order and took the opportunity to leave. Too bad!

Just had a sandwich here and I’d have to say it was the best thing I’ve had to eat in the last week here in Kona. Staff was super friendly and the sandwiches are definitely made with love. Will 100% be back here if we ever visit this island again!

Ordered 2 sandwiches. Both were PERFECT in taste and appearance. Good value- especially on island. Parking is not always easy but the service was friendly. The wait time was short and the ladies were friendly while working to make sandwiches. No place to sit but great for grab and go to the beach or on whatever the island holds for you. I forgot to take photo but it was a stunning sandwich! Every bit had all of the ingredients and amazing taste – start to finish.

Really amazing authentic deli, have not found one like it in Hawaii other than this one! Very clean kitchen, Christine the owner treats you like you are family, she has some of the best soups reminds me of my grandmothers cooking. Definitely recommend her warm sandwiches and fresh macaroni salad.

I found this gem while staying in Kona for a couple days. I’m so glad I did! The NY hoagie (sub sandwich) was super delicious, fresh and flavorful. Custom made cause I don’t like tomatoes nor peppers. Christine is legit, an east coaster who knows authentic ingredients. You can see how much she cares. I hope she opens another one on the Big Island’s east side soon!

We like to go to local eateries when vacationing and Christine’s Deli is an instant favorite! The gals were so warm and welcoming and let us try the Scandanavian potato salad which was so delicious, we added an order to what we had ordered. We had Minnestroni soup (so flavorful), a Reuben Panini, a special sub and a side of tuna! Soup and salads are homemade, and the meat is very high quality. Great experience and amazing food!
