Returning to Christina’s, I was curious to see how it had evolved under new ownership—and I am thrilled to say the transformation is remarkable. For a girls’ night out, we were seated near the fireplace at table 10, and the warm, elegant ambiance made the evening feel intimate and inviting.
The highlight of our evening was our server, Britney. I simply told her the flavors I enjoy, and she asked if she could surprise me—she absolutely did. With just a few details, she curated a meal that was nothing short of extraordinary. Britney even offered fresh blue cheese crumbles for our salad, and provided fresh Parmesan and freshly cracked black pepper for our mains, elevating each dish to perfection.
We began with the burrata charcuterie board, a true masterpiece: creamy, luscious burrata paired with perfectly cured meats, olives, tomatoes and a drizzle of high-quality balsamic that tied every bite together. For mains, I had the tortellini shrimp pesto—delicate, pillowy pasta enveloped in a fragrant, vibrant creamy pesto sauce, topped with tender, succulent shrimp cooked to perfection. My friends’ meatloaf with spinach, cheese, and mushrooms was rich, savory, and beautifully balanced with a velvety sauce that elevated every bite. The chicken trio featuring Parmesan and lasagna was a triumphant combination of flavors and textures—crispy, cheesy, and indulgent without being heavy.
For dessert, Britney recommended tiramisu and crème brûlée. The tiramisu was luxuriously creamy, perfectly sweet, with just the right hint of espresso, while the crème brûlée had a silky, melt-in-your-mouth custard topped with a perfectly caramelized sugar crust. Each dessert captured the essence of authentic Italian home cooking.
The owner went above and beyond, making us feel like VIPs throughout the evening—warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, elevating the experience to something truly special. Christina’s Restaurant on Ulster Avenue in Kingston came out on top and delivered a powerful punch! From the moment made a reservation, we were treated like VIPs by brand new owner and 20+ year server, Amanda Jaskot . Truth be told I’ve also known Amanda for 20 years so it was like being welcomed back by an old friend. She and her husband Andrew really take pride in the way this restaurant is run, the decor and appointments, and the quality of food and beverage. Immediately we were brought to the most beautiful spot in the entire restaurant, in front of the fireplace, which was warm and welcoming. The decor is fresh and updated, and even though the dining room lights were dimmed and candles were on the table, the bright white decor made the whole room glow. As our server, we had the amazing Brittany, who was personable, knowledgeable, knew the menu inside and out, and matched our energy perfectly. When we had questions, she had answers, when we needed suggestions, she gave several and guided us to make the perfect meal choices. At the bar, owner Andrew crafted beautiful cocktails, including a deliciously salty-rimmed margarita, a sleek cosmopolitan and their signature French martini, the latter two poured table side.
For an appetizer, we chose their Signature Burrata Board, which featured a selection of briny olives, several meats, which included gorgeously silky, fresh sliced prosciutto, Burrata on a bed of arugula, drizzled with balsamic reduction, fresh tomatoes, as well as charred bread. Presentation was everything for this dish! 10/10. Next was our soup and salad course, sorry I didn’t take a picture of the beautiful French onion soup, but the salad was pre-dressed and served with an option of freshly sprinkled blue cheese, and cracked black pepper by our lovely server Brittany.
For our entrées we selected the Meatloaf Roulade, Tortellini with Pesto Cream and added shrimp, and the Italian Lovers Trio, which included fettuccine Alfredo, chicken Parmesan, and baked lasagna. The meatloaf had amazing flavor, rolled with spinach and topped with a mushroom Bordelaise. Pesto cream sauce was delightful, but the shrimp were perfectly cooked and popped when you bit them. The Italian trio was a beautiful choice prompted by Brittany, with a delicious meat, lasagna, satisfying chicken, Parm, and a really creamy fettuccine Alfredo. I meant to ask if the pasta was house made but I forgot -it was delicious. Also, their marinara had wonderful flavor. We all needed boxes, of course, and they were beautifully wrapped table side for us to take home.
For dessert, we chose a crème brûlée with a beautifully crackly crust, and a very tall, very lush tiramisu.
Amanda came by our table no less than 3 times to check on us and to tell us how happy she was that we chose them, and we literally had nothing but compliments on food, service & total experience.  While chatting about our evening, I mentioned to Amanda that our children’s friend had been in a minor car accident and was at the ER, starving and that we were going to stop and grab him some cheeseburgers on the way and she said oh my gosh, let me put that order in for you right now, and literally minutes later, a gorgeous cheeseburger on a brioche bun with fries arrive, smelling divine, wrapped up for us, *on the house*.  I cannot tell you how much that meant to us and to the kid and his mom. Honestly, I didn’t even remember that they had cheeseburgers on the menu, thanks to those two French martinis but it was so much better than the drive-through . It is attention to detail like this and genuine care for customers that makes a repeat customer! It was not something that Amanda had to do, but she did it out of kindness, and I love that
Our server was able to easily split our checks, and each of our meals was about $80 plus tip.
All in all, we absolutely loved this restaurant, the parameters we had set included someplace that we were gonna want to come back to again and again, and we definitely will be coming back to Christina’s!

Our waitress was super sweet and very attentive. Ambiance was the correct setting for an Italian restaurant, and it was extremely clean.
Food came out fairly quickly and was absolutely delicious and filling. The Lasagna Al Forno was well worth the price, I’ll be back to try the other delights on the menu.

This place is amazing! I’m from Kingston, but live in SC now.. I ALWAYS make sure I eat at Christina’s when I’m home. The atmosphere is so calm and relaxing, and the service is always amazing. The new owners have kept the menu very similar and the food is still so delicious and well made! The wings on wing night were so good and fresh. 100% worth the trip!

Not only was the food absolutely delicious but the restaurant in general was fantastic! Our server was sweet, polite, and professional. The decor was gorgeous! I love that you can either have a beautiful sit down dinner in front of a decorated fireplace or head to the bar area for a more relaxed and casual experience. Visiting for the day from Atlantic City, NJ with my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day. I give the most praises to our server Carla. She was the most personable server I’ve ever had while still maintaining such professionalism. I truly appreciate her making our date night so easy-going. I went out on a limb ordering the Dinner Special Filet Mignon, Carla suggested serving it Medium temp. Boy, was she spot on. What a beautiful steak and especially served with really good Brussels Sprouts. The entire restaurant is beautifully decorated and as being a manager of a restaurant down where I live, I can only strive to match the aesthetic and atmosphere Christina’s has. Whatever you guys are doing, keep doing it. I’ve truly never had a better restaurant experience in my life.

We had the pleasure of meeting the new owner, Amanda, and her energy was so welcoming. From her to the staff, everyone was friendly and smiling. We had a party in the back, the food was delicious and came out fast, and the waitress was on point the entire time. The young guy in the gray polo helping out (table busser, I think) did an amazing job—he should really consider becoming a waiter. Hats off to Amanda and her team. We’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I are visiting from Portland, Oregon. We have tried a few restaurants in the area, mainly we’ve been disappointed. However, things changed when we tried Christina’s! The food was wonderful! I had the London broil. It was delicious tender! My husband had an omlette. They gave us large portions, the food was fresh and tasty! Our waitress, Amy was also very friendly and helpful. We would recommend this place to anyone who is tired of the same old box restaurants and longs for a truly wonderful dining experience!

I met a few friends at Christina’s last Saturday. We had a snowstorm earlier in the day. When I arrived, the parking lot was clean, making parking a breeze. I entered the restaurant and was greeted by two female hostesses who were supremely polite. With zero hassle, they allowed me to walk around the restaurants to find my party. I found my party in a spacious, clean room. I’m a silverware checker, and I was pleased to see the silverware was clean, along with the glasses provided for drinking water. Unlike my friends, I couldn’t eat a meal with garlic. I told the owner, and she could not have any more accommending; it seemed like no time she brought me a chicken and pasta dish with an oil-based sauce, no garlic. And it was absolutely incredible – to be honest, it was better than my mother’s. I won’t tell my mom. I’m definitely going to tell my friends who missed out. This is a place I recommend you all try.
