It was my second time visiting the restaurant and everything was very pleasant, the first time was with a reservation for a friend’s birthday, but this time I decided to try it with my family, there were 5 of us, they gave us tables and we didn’t like it and they changed our place very kindly. We were attended by a gentleman who I don’t remember his name but he was very polite, attentive, and was always attentive to make us feel comfortable. He also gave flowers to my mother-in-law, my daughters and me for Valentine’s Day, it was a nice gesture from the restaurant. The place was nice and quiet. If you want a place to have dinner or eat quietly this is perfect because you can talk in peace and at the same time you don’t listen to other people’s conversations, it’s super cozy.

This was probably one of the tenderest Porterhouse Steaks I have ever had! And it was seasoned just how I like it…tons of flavor.
The Sangria was very good.

Great old fashioned. Great appetizers. Steak cooked perfectly. Friendly staff. My only issue is that the interior could use a little freshening up. Other than that, really great place with great food. I ate half my delicious steak before I remembered to take a picture! Seriously, try this place if you’re questioning it.

Some places just call themselves steakhouses, and some places deliver on that assertion. Chris Michael’s delivers! First off, their appetizers were excellent! The clams casino were top notch, and the fried calamari were perfection! I always say that fried calamari is party of the Holy Trinity of the most Jersey of food, so if you are in NJ, you MUST be able to make fried calamari… CMS delivered on that NJ Holy Trinity item!
Now, to the star of the show. When you go to a steakhouse, the steak is the star of the show! Their NY step steak had a perfect sear, along with the perfect amount of salt & pepper seasoning! But what sets apart a decent/good/great steakhouse is their ability to get every steak to the desired temperature. I ordered mine medium rare, and got a PERFECT medium rare! It’s amazing how many so called steakhouses fail at this one task … CMS got it spot on for everyone in the party (there were over 20 of us; and yes, perfect temperature is an expectation at a steakhouse, but many fail).
The last piece is service. The wait staff was excellent, and made NO mistakes. Although given my experience, had they made any mistakes, I know they would have quickly resolved it… But they were well prepared!
Overall, I would definitely recommend a trip to Chris Michael’s!

Diego and Isabella, just wow! Service was impeccable and treated us like family. Had the porterhouse for two suggested cook it rare instead of medium rare and they brought out hot dishes to sear to medium so the fillet side wasn’t overdone, fantastic suggestion! Also, got the cream spinach and the grilled shrimp along with my steak. The grilled shrimp was grilled to perfection! Best I had in a long time! Diego took me for a tour of the kitchen and boy you can eat off the floors, it was so so clean! The steak was cooked to perfection and the char crust was so tasty. It was a 10 out of 10! No need to go to Manhattan for a steak anymore with a hidden gem like this being so local! Isabella didn’t let a drink go empty! I will be back for sure! Thank so much to both Diego and Isabella! Made me and my sons day!

Came here with my wife and my son to celebrate his college graduation and it was exactly ehat we wanted. The steaks were cooked perfectly. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We got the porterhouse and twinn lobster. My son got the ribeye and Mac and cheese. They start you off with warm bread and butter. We love our experience here. Everything was absolutely delicious.

The steaks were MEH at best. The kitchen honestly needs to learn how to grill steaks and temperature. My NY strip was Med and leaning towards Medium Well. I wanted my steak Medium Rare. I had to send my steak back. My mother’s steak was practically MOOing and she wanted hers cooked to Medium. I sent my steak back and wanted it prepared to my desired temp as I like my steaks with a warm, pink center. When the new steak arrived, it was really tough and very difficult to cut. I wasn’t too impressed with the quality of the meat. I told my mom I needed a chainsaw to cut it and we both laughed it off. I also ordered their mushroom risotto. It was nothing to write home about. The saving grace was the service. Our server and the manager were very friendly, attentive, apologetic and tried to make our dining experience more enjoyable. Sadly, it was not and I was ready to pay and leave. I highly doubt I will be returning due to the quality of the food and the price tag of the menu.

We just celebrated my daughter’s birthday here, and it was fantastic! A huge shout-out to JT and Diego — they made reserving the party room so easy and completely stress-free. They were incredibly flexible and accommodating throughout the entire process.
And the food… absolutely amazing! My guests couldn’t stop talking about how good everything was. I 100% recommend this place for your next event. Thank you to the entire CM staff for making our celebration so special!

The place looks pretty good with a nice bar, however had some smell and not the one you would expect in the restaurant. A special mentioning goes to the staff who were extremely friendly and helpful, as well knowledgeable. We were quiet a large party so got plenty of dishes and different steaks to try. Some of the food was absolutely delicious and they nailed the sides, the stakes were not really up to par. The plates themselves were pretty big, not to mention the sides. If you have room for desert maybe try something other than ice cream or chocolate mousse as they were somewhat disappointing
