We went to the grand opening/soft opening. Place was a bit empty, but then again they just opened.

Service was excellent. My server was on top of things and explained how everything works in a non-condescending manner. If he didn’t know the question, he went and found the answer.

Food was fairly decent. The appetizer portions were a bit on the small side, but you’re able to order 4 meats and 2 appetizers after every “trip”. Overall, fairly good experience and hope they get more traffic.

The restaurant itself is spacious and nice but in general the food was incredibly mid. Despite trying a variety of the sides, most other than the basic radish were not very good. We tried ordering meats of each variety and ended the night only finding one type which we enjoyed. Our waiter seemed to be trying their best but we still had to wait upwards of 5 minutes for service and we had lots of times waiting in between meats. The grill also consistently would burn, even on our first meat (brisket). We had the temperature lowered and even with other meats, they very quickly burned which was different from experiences at other kbbq restaurants both in America and Korea. Honestly considering the price, I was disappointed by the quality and will not be returning.

Went to Chow Won Korean Steakhouse for lunch with my parents. The staff were very kind and helpful during our time there helping assist us when cooking making sure our meal was cooked well. The seafood pancake is a must for an appetizer. Besides the usual steak, chicken, shrimp and pork, octopus is offered as well. Overall a good experience.

Came here three days after they opened with my mom and sister for Mother’s Day and the overall experience was pretty good.
Our server Maya was amazing and all the service was great. She was on top of it and did her job extremely well. Another server helped instruct us on how to cook the meat and was very helpful. Maya was great at her job and kept up with our table the whole time frequently taking empty plates and asking what else we wanted.
The food portions were very generous with each plate there was so much that sometimes the food would get cold before we could even finish it so we would have to reheat it . The beef was amazing and marinated very well highly recommend the bulgogi. I will say that the sides could’ve been spicier or more flavorful but overall they were good too.
Lastly the atmosphere is very nice too. The traffic seems to be picking up but not as hustle bustle as other kbbq places so your table won’t be neglected. The music was nice but sometimes stopped for random periods at a time but overall was a great and comfortable eating experience.

This place was a fantastic surprise find!
We didn’t know anything about what to expect at a Korean BBQ but our waitress (Salem) was super sweet & helpful! Also, the restaurant manager came around checking on everyone & she was SO helpful & sweet. Honestly ALL the staff were fantastic & helpful.

Now for the important INFO- The FOOD, it was DELICIOUS! Whatever is in the seasoned steak certainly had every taste bud jumping into a happy dance!
The fried potstickers, chefs kiss! I could have just ate that all night & been completely content.
They even have a boba bar, which made my little girls night.
We ended our meal on a sweet note with ice cream!
It’s very family friendly or a great date night spot with just your significant other or a great group of friends!

If you’re wondering should I go, GO, give it a try!

Made a reservation on the phone a week ago, called again to confirm it beforehand. Was able to also confirm the reservation on Open Table, too. Came to see that it was closed and going to be closed for months. Just wanted to post this so nobody else wastes their time trying to go here. Wish they had consideration for customers and updated their Google profile and OpenTable as well. Poor customer service…

I recently visited Chow Won Korean BBQ and had a mixed experience. While the restaurant was clean and the waiter was exceptionally nice and helpful, the quality and authenticity of the food left much to be desired.

The $20 lunch special offers a 42-option All-You-Can-Eat menu, which seems like a fantastic deal at first glance. However, the excitement quickly fades once you try the food. The cuts of meat were disappointingly dry and tough, making it hard to enjoy the meal. For a Korean BBQ place, I was expecting more authentic flavors and better quality meats.

Another surprising aspect was the overall atmosphere of the restaurant. Nothing about the decor or the ambiance felt Korean. They didn’t even play Korean music, which was a letdown for someone expecting an immersive dining experience.

I was tempted to try the Bubble Tea on the menu, as it looked quite appealing, but I didn’t get around to it this time.

On a positive note, the staff were all very nice and attentive. However, the owners need to seriously consider investing in better quality meats, even if it means raising the prices a bit. Quality is crucial, especially for a place that markets itself as a Korean BBQ restaurant.

Overall, Chow Won Korean BBQ has potential but falls short in delivering the authentic and high-quality experience you’d expect. I hope they take feedback seriously and make the necessary improvements.
