Workers/staff are super friendly and doing their best, which I appreciate. The salad bar is solid—probably the only thing safe to eat. But the hot chow is a letdown. It’s an endless cycle of dry chicken, and the pizza is absolutely disgusting (cardboard with cheese), we like to see the meat one day .
For now stick to the greens.
Old and dark facilities
Marines deserve better.

For the amount of meals these guys have to cook to provide for all the troops that have meal cards on this installation they’re definitely a five-star facility. Yesterday co-worker and I got to enjoy the Marine Corps Birthday luncheon which consisted of steak Lobster shrimp cocktail fruit cocktail in a champagne flute, green beans baked potato rolls. Happy birthday Marines

This is by far some of the most vile atrocities I’ve ever had to face in my life. The employees feel bad to even serve this slime at times. I promise you it doesn’t get better here.

Quite honestly the worst food you’ll ever eat. It’s tragic that the workers here have to put up with this atrocity of a menu and ingredient selection, we all know they can cook better food than this. No wonder Marines empty their paychecks on junk food off base and get fat. When will the importance of quality ingredients and serving edible food be taken seriously? Hmm…

It’s chow hall food nothing crazy. I stopped eating here long time ago it lack qauity and seasoning. The people are great and always smiling sadly I can’t smile after eating unseasoned pasta 2 times a day. It’s free so I mean go crazy, just try using the kitchen in the barracks.

Not sure what anybody else is talking about. Food is always great. Lots of options, you can go through again and again, thanksgiving food they had too- a wing bar, and a full breakfast bar with a million different things- absolutely crazy. Really nice people- great place.

I was getting breakfast and was having a rather bad day at the time so I wasn’t my usual self. As I was in the line, the woman serving the food had said good morning and wouldn’t get my serving without me saying good morning. I understand good mannered and such, but sometimes people have bad days. Anything like that puts them in a worse mood than before.

Honestly, it’s really the food and selection I hate about the chow hall across the fleet. Sodexo does an outstanding job hiring people with disabilities and I can commend them for that. However, the food is sugared garbage, steamed to mush vegetables, undercooked rice, and the saddest fast food imaginable.
Great work for our citizens with special needs, but please give our service members something healthy to choose from. Soft drinks ain’t it either.

The quality of the food is not bad considering the amount of people they are feeding. The workers that scan your I’d in the front are always lovely to interact with. The rest of the staff is friendly and do a great job at keeping the chow hall clean.

Its edible. For us that have no choice but to eat here thats what it is. Personally I think this chow hall should be better in the sense that at the end of the day most people eating at this facility are men and women that are standing for this country. They deserve much more then just “Edible”. After those long hours at work the one place you are forced to eat at because you can’t use BAS should be the same quality as what you could get at a good store.
