Preface: I remember this place years ago and shared many wonderful memories here.
With that said, I am saddened and highly
disappointed with how low this restaurant has become.
I notice that they remodeled but it does not add to the quality of the food. More money seems to be put into the remodel than the food. In the past, the service WAS impeccable, waiters attentive and generous with portions- NOTHING compared to my experience returning.
I was so excited to visit this location again after a couple years.
The menus will need to be updated to reflect ‘plain fried rice’ on the combination plates.
I hope they will adjust the environment, menus, atmosphere and staff. Covid may have changed a lot of things but quality should never be sacrificed.
that appreciate their role of the legacy this location once was.

I ordered Shrimp with Broccoli, garlic sauce, fried rice, and an egg roll for $19.17. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The shrimp and broccoli lacked seasoning and were watery. The fried rice was hard and lacked flavor. I was let down because I had read many positive reviews on TikTok about the place. To make matters worse, I ended up going up the street to Hong Kong in the Publix plaza. At least there, I could eat their food. The same meal tasted better and had more flavor for $15.

Dined in WARNING, less than one star, this is not “Chinese food” I order the pepper steak combination that alleges it comes with fried rice, “Caution” if you have to explain your fried rice it’s not fried rice cashiers, :'( obviously this restaurant is going down. The Wonton is heavily breaded and there’s no pork in it, I’m afraid to eat the egg roll .
Why lie about a 4.2 review it’s not here on Panola Rd.

Use to be my go to spot when it was on Covington Hwy. You could barely find a park then and the food was exceptional. But since the move and covid, the only thing I like now is the fried chicken wings…and I used to spend a lot of money with them.

Haven’t been in years. Walked in ready to order and spend money. Instead, I was treated like an inconvenience for asking basic questions about portion sizes and pricing.
The prideful male cashier was rude, dismissive, and visibly irritated the entire interaction—sighing, giving looks, and responding with attitude instead of polite answers. The vibe was uncomfortable enough that I lost my appetite and walked out with all of my money. I heard his sinister snicker as I marched away speechless. Far from broke, but was treated so illy that I refused to even spend my $23.
For prices this high, customers should not be made to feel stupid or unwelcome. If this is the kind of service management tolerates, it explains a lot. Took my money elsewhere and won’t be back.

The portion size was bigger than what I’m use too but for 22$… it was not worth it because yes, you get a bigger portion, but the flavor is not there at all and I got a simple order

I have heard great things about this place, but unfortunately it was not the case for us. The food was ok. We ordered Mongolian beef, and chicken broccoli (2orders) they all came with rice. The rice was horrible,It was very stale as if it had been sitting out for days (we had to throw all the rice after we tasted to see if it was only the one box of rice) Mongolian beef had an aftertaste, but the chicken broccoli was pretty good.

The reviews seemed to rave about this spot but my chicken with teriyaki was over cooked. Really dry.. Also I thought it would be grilled but it was fried so keep in mind…. Guys at the register were cool guys.. Cool service. Restaurant was clean but food just want on point.

I’m pissed about these deformed wings .Smh you saw it when you put it in there smh yea I’m good I won’t be back , that’s something a customer shouldn’t even have to drive ALL THE WAY BACK to tell or show you!

I have been a customer for over 25 years and never had a complaint until now. I had two orders of braised wings and house fried rice. Over $50. The wings taste like too much vinegar and an overwhelming amount of red pepper Flakes, so spicy that myself and my mom couldn’t eat them. The house fried rice tasted as if it was on the verge of being spoiled. I think they have a new cook. This is not typical of Chou Lees, and I don’t plan on going back.
