Stopped by Chote Miya for a quick snack while walking through Chelsea Market and it didn’t disappoint!
We tried the Pani Puri, and it was excellent—the puris were perfectly crisp, and the flavors were spot on. Also had the kulfi which was pretty good as well. It’s a great spot to grab an authentic bite to eat while exploring the market.
They also have a fantastic selection of Indian snacks for sale to take home, which is a nice bonus. Definitely a solid choice for anyone craving street food flavors in a fun atmosphere

I was craving some Mumbai street food and found Chote Miya NYC recently, and wow, was I completely blown away by the flavors!
The food instantly transported me. The vada pav was spicy, crispy, and so nostalgic it felt like I was back on the streets of Mumbai. The pani puri was fresh and flavorful, with the perfect tangy kick in every bite.
Located in the bustling Chelsea Market, this is a great option for anyone who enjoys this type of food. The dining room is spacious but it gets crowded almost constantly, which just shows how popular it is. Even with the crowd, the staff is really attentive and makes sure you have everything you need.
Overall, Chote Miya offers a delicious and authentic experience. The variety of food options is great, and it’s a must try if you’re looking for flavorful, well made Indian street food.

Portions are small for the price but the food is fresh and delicious. We had chicken tikka kabab, which came with onions and green chutney. The seasoning was delicious. We also had dahi sev puri. It was good but the puri was soggy, it should have been more crunchy.

Authentic Indian Street Food in the Heart of NYC!

Tried Chote Miya NYC recently and was blown away by the flavors! The vada pav instantly transported me to the streets of Mumbai — spicy, crispy, and so nostalgic. The pani puri was fresh and flavorful, with the perfect tangy kick. I also loved the butter chicken momos — such a fun fusion dish done right! The chicken curry, kebabs, and chicken tikka kati roll were all packed with bold spices and cooked to perfection. The staff was friendly and the vibe felt warm and welcoming. If you’re craving real Indian street food in NYC, this is the spot. Highly recommend!✨

Chote Miya is a great spot for a quick bite. The chaat is a standout, while the momos and maggi are just average. The falooda and other desserts can be a bit too sweet. The location in Chelsea is definitely a plus—ideal if you’re craving a quick Indian snack!

This restaurant is SO ADORABLE! The name, the decor, the music, the snacks for sale, so cute! And the food omg. I am from Chicago and stop by here every time I visit NYC. We ordered several items and everything was amazing. My favorites are the papdi chaat and mango lassi but the veg biryani, lamb boti, maggi noodles, and Kati rolls are so good. And the butter chicken and naan! Shop is clean and staff is friendly, chef Javed came out and met all the diners and even took our trays and trash away as we were getting ready to leave. Dont miss this place when you visit Chelsea market!

This spot is great for a quick, hot Indian snack, especially if you’re in the area for shopping. While it may not serve the best Indian (street) food in NYC, the flavors are authentic, and the prices are generally reasonable. That said, I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again, as there are better Indian food options elsewhere in the city.
