I just had one of the most delightful Latino dinner experiences of my life. Guatemalan fusion with a family welcome feel. Not what you usually see in Cleveland, Tennessee. (Or anywhere else for that matter) We were taken by surprise and couldn’t believe some of the offerings. We had the papusa and they was unbelievable amounts of cheese. We took one of those home to cook in the air fryer later on. We found much of their food able to be reheated at home in an air fryer.
They also have the best chips with cheese and salsa with avocados. They don’t put onions in their guacamole! This is one of the first places I’ve ever been that doesn’t bombard you with onions or green peppers. Fact, this place doesn’t have a lot of super spicy foods. Which I enjoyed. But everything was flavorful and uniquely savory.
The chicken breast with crema sauce was delightful. There was a plantain dumpling we ate with custard in it that was to die for.
Almost everything at Chorti is gluten free which blew my mind because I cannot eat wheat. If you’re gluten free, this place is for you.
Eduardo was our server and he was hilarious and fun. Made the whole experience!
I can’t wait to bring other people back to this place.
This is a must visit restaurant if you happen to be in Cleveland Tennessee.

Went tonight after work and we were so impressed! Our service was absolutely perfect, she was attentive, efficient
and we felt like she really cared. We had plantains for an app while waiting for our meal. They had the delicious sweet crispy welldone ends! Hubby had the Parrillada which he loved and actually had food left over. The portions are pretty large! It was perfect for him because he likes a lot of meat and this way he had a variety. I got the steak fajitas and they came out sizzling! HUGE portion and so so good! I would definitely go back and order the same thing but I’m also excited to try other menu items

Absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing the pupusas were especially delicious and full of flavor. The staff was kind, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. Everything was super clean and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Highly recommend!

Had a great time at this unassuming Mexican spot. Prices are very reasonable, had a great Mojarra Frita excellent flavor and texture while they were also very accommodating to a party members allergy. Very attentive service. Would eat here again if I’m in the Cleveland area.

Great place for Latino food. A variety of Central American and Mexican food. Love the pollo adobado and the churrasco. The “Pollo en Crema” is awesome. Come and check it out. A very clean and inviting place, with spacious and comfortable seating.

We’ve been here a few times and always had a good experience. The last time we went we had a super friendly server and the food was absolutely delicious! We tried a bunch of small dishes from different parts of Latin America and they all tasted great. You have to try the tamale elote! It’s not your typical tamale. We also love the design of the restaurant. It has a modern look, typically seen in larger cities. All in all, it was excellent and we will definitely be back!

Lovely dinner and our food was delicious. The server was good and made great recommendations. She was attentive but not overly so.
I score the service at 4 because the kitchen was slow to put out requests our server had placed. Not her fault, but the kitchen and drink service was slow.

Chorti Cocina Latina in Cleveland, TN is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Latin American flavors. Their menu goes beyond Mexican cuisine, featuring delicious traditional dishes from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. My favorite appetizer is the garnachas—I always ask for extra coleslaw and escabeche salad because they’re that good. Without a doubt, their pupusas are the best in the region. I live in Dalton, GA, where we have several pupuserias dedicated solely to pupusas, and even then, Chorti’s pupusas are simply unmatched in flavor. Highly recommended!
