I Dined at chorizo without reservations but got seated and had great service.
Food was also great overall. The restaurant serves Latin fusion food and the flavors and portions were good!
The one miss was that the queso fondido was too runny. It had a thin consistency, but the flavors were there. Other then that all of the food we had was fantastic!
The booth section with the tile background and paintings was a nice touch.

Chorizo located in the Grove Arcade is now open for brunch. It is a $12 menu with a fruit salad included. I had the crab cake benedict. Delicious. Impeccable service. Best brunch in town.

I didn’t realize Chorizo had reopened but I was super excited to discover they are back. There is a good balance of new menu items and some of the good old favorites. Dinner is very upscale, brunch and lunch feature some very affordable and delicious items. Lunch with drinks was super affordable. The decor got a bit of an upgrade with some marble and lighter hues- very pleasant atmosphere. I was also very pleasantly surprised to find convenient parking, a pretty big deal downtown! I did visit during weekdays, but I typically have had trouble finding parking in the past even on weekdays so this was pretty awesome. As a local who had sort of stopped going downtown I’m really happy they’re back.

I didn’t realize they serve breakfast! Got a burrito and a coffee. Service was great and Chef Hector came out of the kitchen to make sure we enjoyed everything.
Will come back for dinner.

My family loved this place! Our server Alex was a fantastic. He made himself seem less like a server and more like a master-presenter treating close friends to his favorite things from the menu. We took his recommendations and it was honestly the best decision ever. The papas and croquettes were to die for. Go eat Chorizo, especially if you’re near the Grove Arcade – you will not be disappointed! My only regret is not having met Chef Hector, who seems to have quite a passion for feeding people, both at Chorizo and next-door Modesto. Hopefully next time!

We stayed in Asheville over the weekend and forgot to make any plan for dinner on Saturday night. Our hotel restaurant was full and we wandered over to Chorizo. I’m so glad we did! The people were incredibly warm and welcoming, the service was excellent and the food was outstanding! Extra thanks to Alex for his spot on wine recommendation and for making our night just fantastic. We’ll be back!

The only things that surpassed the food is the incredible atmosphere. As soon as you walk in you’re greeted by the friendly staff and beautiful decor. Lunch was amazingly inexpensive at only $15 for the quality. 10/10 would recommend.

Their breakfast menu is impressive. I got the shrimp and grits. It was by far the best shrimp and grits this northern boy ever ate. I highly recommend!
