The ordering process was clunky. If you order from the app you get reward points, but ordering from the kisok the only way to get those points is if you pay with a credit card linked on the app. I don’t connect credit cards to apps, so I didn’t get any points for my order. There were at least 10 managers/corporate employees in the store, 3 of them came over to the kiosk I was ordering on and couldn’t find another way.
I ordered the seasonal Cajun Shrimp Wrap, I swapped out a couple ingredients and added some lemon juice. The flavors tasted really good. I very much appreciated that the shrimp was deveined and cooked well.
The wrap was a bit messy. I ordered it for “here”, it came “to go” – a small hiccup. The wraps are definitely not meant to be eaten on the go. They fall apart way too easily. The bread is soft and flavorful, definitely add that onto your order – I think it come free with any entrée but you have to click that you want it.
I like that they brought a local school in to help raise PTO funds for them.
They also offer a military discount (only available through the kiosk). Both show they’re invested in local community.
None of the employees looked overwhelmed so they were receiving enough support and training during service.
As I ate, every non-line staff member approached me at some point – it was overwhelming and made eating take so much longer, but the wrap was too messy to pack up and take away at this point.
Overall I’d be back, they did a decent job for a restaurant opening. Hopefully corporate will fix the kiosk connectivity issue.
Side note – I was very entertained by the completely useless “step & pull” installed in the bathroom as the door is a turn handle not a push/pull door.
Update: They came around with samples of their specialty drinks. The Jalapeño Limade was very refreshing with just the tiniest bite of jalapeño.
Very impressed with the service, ambiance and the food was outstanding. But I was most impressed with ERIC the great.
Fantastic and friendly manager.
We’ll be back!
The taste wasn’t anything special either; nothing stood out or made me want to come back. I’m giving it two stars instead of one only because the service was fine.
We were there in the first week of opening, so hopefully/maybe that was the reason for the bad portions?
If you’re looking for something healthy and filling, I’d recommend going to CAVA around the corner instead, much better value, flavor, and portions.
