Hello Sunshines
I’d like to start with the positives, as I truly had high hopes for this place. The house rice was excellent and definitely the highlight of my visit.

Unfortunately, I would not return due to poor service and pricing that does not align with the quality of the food. The chicken wings were extremely large, and after taking only a few bites from one wing, I was advised that I should order smaller ones next time, which felt inappropriate and unnecessary.

The owner initially approached my table in a friendly manner to check on my experience; however, once I expressed that I did not enjoy the wings, his demeanor changed noticeably.

Additionally, I was charged a $1.25 fee when I called to cancel my order and informed them that I would be dining in instead, which was disappointing.

Overall, while there were a few positives, the service and value fell short of expectations, and I would not recommend this establishment.

The 5pc sushi appetizer was phenomenal. The pieces of fish were delicious and nicely sized. I also got the Spicy Tuna Tartar which was strangely served with Pringles… It was good, but I would have appreciated something other than stale Pringles to eat it with.

Fantastic first experience. Lived in Raleigh a long time but new to the immediate area and it’s been a struggle to find decent Chinese takeout. I’m sure eating in may be a different experience but as far as the prices and quality for takeout goes – this place knocked it out of the park. I say this after trying literally every Chinese takeout spot around here.

The Mei Fun was flavorful.
The Wonder Chicken was fantastic.
Eggroll, Sweet&Sour Chicken, and Crab Rangoons were filled and CRISPY.
And possibly the best steamed dumplings I’ve ever had from takeout.

Try this place if you haven’t already. Far more positive reviews than the sporadic negative ones with odd circumstances listed.

I placed an order through Door Dash, specifically their Broccoli with garlic sauce meal. Unfortunately, the meal arrived with clear quality issues. The broccoli was old, soft, and overcooked, which showed it was not fresh. Furthermore, the accompanying garlic sauce wasn’t consistent, but was clumpy and overly oily.
This was the second time I had ordered this item and noticed freshness issues, though this time I felt compelled to call the restaurant and return the meal.
When I called, I encountered a poor customer service experience. The staff member who helped me was defensive, offering every excuse imaginable to explain why the broccoli was in that condition. I arrived at the restaurant with the meal to show the quality and to get it replaced. The restaurant staff worked to resolve the issue by making a new, fresh order. Upon bringing me the replacement meal which was significantly better quality and contained fresh broccoli, only confirmed the problem with the initial dish. While handing me the new meal, the employee again attempted to question my judgment, implying I did not know the difference between fresh and old food. I tried to again explain that the food was bad quality, but the staff member ignored the complaint and gave me the spoiled dish back to take home and eat it saying the dish was still good to eat. However, I took a pic and I threw the meal away when I got back home. While I appreciate that the food was eventually replaced, the experience was significantly marred by the dismissive and attitude of this staff member. The restaurant needs to address both the quality control of its delivered ingredients and the way its team members interact with customers raising concerns.

Food is good but often not as temperature hot as it should be. Convenient location. Service is ok but not great. It is fairly clean inside but could be better. The ginger dressing is great although the green salad should be $1 less than it is. The entrees should be $2 or $3 less than they are especially when I only get 4 pieces of broccoli on the sesame chicken and the rice is just plain ordinary rice. I like that they have Coke products but they need to be better on refills. I dine there once a month or so but would more if they would improve some on the things I mentioned above.

Stole my money. I paid for food, they were too busy and my husband waited for over two hours even though it said 20 minutes online, cancelled the order – food wasn’t even close to being started on yet, was told to come back for a refund, and now they are refusing to give me back my money. Manager said she didnt care if I reported the business because she just “works there”. I will be reporting this business and will be reporting the charge with my credit card company. Just lost a loyal customer of 5 years due to bad management. I was willing to give them grace about having to wait and cancel my order as it was the holiday season, but refusing to refund me after I graciously agreed to come back for the refund is just criminal.

Food was better than most Raleigh Chinese. Still ran into gristle in my kung pao chicken. Kung pao chicken is the stir fried variety at this restaurant, not deep fried. It was mild when I asked for spicier than medium. Husband’s pepper steak was very good. He finished it, no leftovers.

Getting service took quite a while. Long enough to receive that look from my husband of “You want to leave, I’m getting impatient.”

This establishment is a well established member of the dining scene in Raleigh. So much so that it could use a refresh of the interior. It is pretty dark, old school Chinese restaurant red walls, seats, mirrors, etc etc.

Took Mom out to dinner here after a Crabtree Valley mall trip while we were shopping for Hokas.

We wanted somewhere with steamed tofu and veggies and sushi! Pictured is the steamed tofu + Dynamir roll and the Funky Monkey roll which has banana in it so that was a unique touch.

I ordered the shrimp chow mein dinner combo that came with fried rice and an egg roll. I took a quick peek at my container and saw the shrimp and fried rice and assumed it was the right meal that i ordered. I got home and upon closer inspection, i literally got shrimp and just a bunch of vegetables drenched in like water. Not a single noodle and absolutely no taste or seasoning!!! So disappointing and it did not taste good at all. I’m not sure if they just forgot the noodles or thought they could be sneaky with not putting the noodles in there, but regardless, I Will never be ordering from here again and would not recommend coming here for chinese to go.
