Not a bad place. Paid my first visit recently. Went and put an order for takeout a little after they opened at 1100. Was told it would be a 10-15 minute wait but it was more like a half hour, which is fine because it seemed like there were only 2 people in the back cooking including the person who took my order. The interior had 6 tables with 22 chairs. The tables and floor weren’t wiped down too thoroughly. There were wares and trinkets sold by register – key chains, novelty pens, earrings, Russian nesting dolls, solar pathway lights, Sriracha, almond cookies, shoe charms, and other nicknacks.
The food was quite all right. Their eggrolls were decent, the Mongolian beef and fried rice were good, albeit just slightly too salty, and the pork lo mein and wontons were excellent. They were generous with the portions they served. The beef was cooked perfectly and complimented well with the onions, mushrooms, and scallions paired with it. The wontons were savory and juicy with a nice subtle spiciness to them that had me sweating. The lo mein was my absolute favorite and exceeded my expectations – sautéed with other garnishes aside from the roast pork. I’ll be stopping by again and trying out their other menu options. Cheers.

Whoever is voting this less than 5 stars is just wrong—the service is always on point, the food is always delicious, with generous portions, and made pretty quickly. I’ve also never had an issue when they’ve delivered. One of the last authentic-non-authentic Chinese spots on the NW side.

Have been going to this place for over 20 years and loved it, but no longer. The quality of the free egg rolls have been going down as of the last couple months, but we let it slide cuz they were free with purchase. However, this time they actually had mold in them because the cabbage went bad. Our wonton soup was super bland and the other thing we ordered also tasted unfresh. Not sure if the owner or chef changed because it wasn’t the usual guy there. Very disappointed that I need to find a new place now.

Do not order here. Even if you order ahead, you still have to wait in person for your food. Or if you order delivery, it will take over two hours. And their sweet-and-sour is actually duck sauce, not sweet-and-sour sauce. Worst customer service of my life and I don’t know why I keep giving them a chance.

I have been going to Chopstick Express for 8 years. The owner is very nice as he remembers his customers who frequently dine in, carry out, and have food delivered. The food is extremely fresh and always hot even if there is a wait time. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone as you want be disappointed.
