If you are in Chisholm be sure to stop by this hidden gem! Choppy’s is a quaint Italian restaurant right on the main street. The ambiance is inviting and the servers are friendly. They recently added a new outdoor patio and expanded their hours! The patio is dog friendly, so if you are traveling with your pooch they can dine with you outside.
The food at Choppy’s is amazing! Best pizza on the range– hands down! I also highly recommend the breaded pork sandwich. You get a large portion for $9.75 and it is amazing!
I have never been disappointed at Choppy’s. If you are on the Iron Range make sure to stop by. It is my go-to place. Great service, great value, and great food! You’re gonna love it!
EDIT: New owner has cut most items off the menu. No wait staff and not currently open very often. Different atmosphere and is not in the spirit of the original Choppy’s Pizza.
Very simple menu. Ice cream appeared to have been in the freezer a while though we did not try it.
Again nice but would not go back.
Very friendly, the wife of the owner was kind of serving since they have no servers.
The place was clean and cozy, albeit completely dead the whole time we were there.
Half the menu was unavailable and we were not informed of this until after we’d ordered and she sent the order to the cook, they forgot my tea and when it came out there was no sugar or cream. When I asked for sugar it came in a cup because they have no sugar packets.
The drinks are mostly from a can or bottle, they didn’t have ice cream or strawberry syrup for malt shakes or milk.
The owners wife was unaware of all of this until she went to go get our orders.
Forgot an ingredient on one of our pizzas but they did take off the charge for it.
The food was good for what it was, the lady was very kind. It does feel like they’re struggling with the new business. Definitely no malice, and I’d like to try again in a year when they’ve had more time to figure things out.
