The approach seems to be ridden with foul-mouthed adrenaline jockeys reminiscing of a time long gone; taboo rumblings of a woman of German descent with digestive issues or the daughter of a certain innkeeper can be heard emanating about the dark, musty corners of the tavern. Cigarette butts and eccentric tobacco pipes are scattered about and the habitual spillage of ale has become a custom. A shirtless Texan with a dark mustache appears to be the bouncer at times, mumbling nonsensical ramblings about how “the B stand should have been across the yellow line.” Power to the establishment seems to be intermittent approaching last call. No gluten-free or vegan options on the menu. Seriously?
