So glad we finally got around to trying out this spot. I had the miso soup to start and it is probably the best I have ever had! The salmon and parsley onigiri was delicious. My girls had the chicken ramen and chicken udon. Both were delicious! We will definitely be going back! Love that the chef and owner came out to serve and chat with us. She is lovely.

It’s been years coming to parsley, I mean how can you not come here. Let me explain to you that this woman all by herself is managing this place. From Onigiris to Tuna Don, Maze Gohan as well as ramen soups. I mean everything is so perfect. She has a great selection of sake to die for as well as beer. Without mentioning that there is a variety of Wines. Excellent for Dine in and takeout. Overall, a great place for dates, as well as coming alone. You will not be disappointed.

We ordered shrimp shumai, spicy tuna ramen, kitsune chicken soba and matcha cheesecake. About the appetizer you can taste and feel the shrimp, great. The noodles were so good and the broth have a lot of taste. The cake was really dense and has a lemon taste, not my type. The owner is really friendly and take care of the ingredients.

I’ve walked by this place a million times and finally tried it out. The service is great and the food prep time is long but well worth it. I would rank this place as a hidden gem tucked away from the main avenue. They have a nice menu of Japanese meals and drinks. Space is a bit limited, I would recommend a few friends to share this place with. They accept credit cards but have a minimum of $20 and as usual prefer cash as a small business. I will definitely be coming to this place again.

A real deal proprietor-run Japanese restaurant serving a delicious menu of authentic, complex Japanese cuisine. Friendly and welcoming, Chopped Parsley invites long evenings of exploring new flavors in a calm and cozy atmosphere. The handpicked Japanese beer and sake list complements this rare uptown culinary experience.

Listen, the food was good but it took like a half hour for two of to get an appetizer in a place where we were the only guests. I mean, again, it was tasty but they gotta work on their speed. Even if they’re doing anything as soon as you order it, let’s try to pick up the pace shall we? I’m probably being generous by giving it the full 4, except again, I liked everything. I should clarify though that the dishes are more like tapas sized and not full meal sized. Did leave a bit hungry and craving onion rings. Eat a big lunch and come here for a light dinner and you’ll leave happier.

Very nice Japanese restaurant in Harlem area of NY! Loved the feeling of being in this restaurant- small local business feel with someone cooking in sight. Everything fresh, well thought out, and cared for with love!
The restaurant feel is cozy. The night we were there, the waiter serving us was very pleasant and kind! Prices seem very reasonable, particularly for fresh, good food.
Would definitely recommend to others and return here when I’m in NY! Thanks, Chopped Parsley, for the great food and service.

The restaurant is small but well decorated and cozy. The food was good specially the rolls and the Chirashi. Service was fast. Fish quality was really fresh and quantity was perfect. The only thing that surprised me is that it isn’t cheap for the neighborhood compared to other Japanese restaurants I went to which are located Midtown and Downtown Manhattan.

Picked up our food so didn’t get a chance to fully appreciate the atmosphere (but so cute inside!$ the owner was kind and the food so delicious! Felt like homemade Japanese food that mom would make ^^ I would highly recommend!
