i hardly ever complain, my girlfriend and myself both work in the industry so we understand the business. decided to treat her to dinner here for her birthday tonight, reviews were good, so i gave it a shot.
but the food tonight was not even close to worth the price point. i ordered the 55 dollar ribeye with garlic mashed potatoes and garlic & herb broccoli. the ribeye came out medium well, was a bit tough, the bourbon cream sauce had one peppercorn in it, mashed potatoes were just mashed potatoes, no garlic flavor profile to be found, and the broccoli? there wasn’t a lick of garlic or an herb to be found, it was just steamed broccoli.
my girlfriend got the 57 dollar filet with grilled asparagus and garlic mashed. her filet was ordered medium rare, also came out medium well, the grilled asparagus had no grill marks on it, maybe it was done on a flat top, but thats not “grilled” thats more of a saute, and the mashed had no garlic.
was the food edible? sure. but at least be honest on the menu. i cook for a living. dont false advertise, spent 140 on 2 meals tonight for what? to leave disappointed. i understand things happen, but if you’re gonna charge those prices, do it right. ive had better steaks and meals at texas roadhouse for half the price.
place was clean though, hosts were friendly, and our server was very tentative and nice, did a great job, ill give credit where its do on that one.

Last meal we had in Narragansett for the weekend. And left on a very good note. Oddly enough, may have been the best chicken tenders I’ve ever had in my life. They’re famous for them here! Drenched in a special sauce, they were unreal. Raw bar was great too, as well as some hot apps, and the entree did not disappoint. We came early so there weren’t many people there, but the waiter was very friendly and talkative, which I liked!

Incredibly expensive and mediocre food. $22 for an overcooked burger, $7-8 more then comparable restaurants. Steak prices are insane. And alcohol, $11 for a draft IPA, $8 for a Gansett draft, $7 for a Bud bottle – by far the highest prices of any restaurant for 30 miles. Then at the bottom of your check is a sob story about having to charge 3% for credit card use, claiming the “current restaurant environment”, like if they had to absorb the 3% they’d have to shut down. How about this instead – cut your prices to a reasonable level and better prepare your food, this would undoubtedly increase your customer base. I’m stunned you dont charge for parking.

The fish and chips are fantastic! We have had them two times now and they are a little different in the way they are fried. They are made with cornmeal and what a treat, not greasy at all and delicious! The chips are cut almost like scoops and are great! Will definitely be back soon!

As we entered we were warmly greeted, our server was excellent. Place was empty bc we got there for lunch early as we were returning our dtr back to URI. Our server very attentive and very pleasant. We ordered sandwiches which were on soft rolls and were very delicious, ck Parm, ck and Reubens, so good. Clam chowder and onion soup were excellent. Place was large and staff friendly. Great parking.

Well first of they didnt have Dr. Pepper here, which immediately is one star removed from the rating, I ordered the bowl of clam chowder while others at my table ordered the steak. I finished my bowl of clam chowder in less than 2 minutes, I swear they just poured a cup into a bowl and said “it looks bigger good enough,” also at least 2 of the people in my party didnt get their steak cooked correctly like they ordered it.

Your waitress Juliann is the best!! She has empathy, kindness, generosity and she will go out of her way and keep it real like she loves and cherishes serving folks. She is a sweetheart!!!! Please keep folks like her serving people because she made me feel welcomed and like I was special. She listens and the girl definitely has a gift with dealing with people. We need more waitresses like Julianne with her beautiful self!!!!

Nearly all items on the extensive menu can be made gluten free. I had fish and chips! Which was excellent. The fish was so fresh and tender, the chips were chip/French fries. I also got a little loaf of gluten free bread! Also amazing with the cinnamon maple butter. And if you are so fortunate enough to have the server Julianne, your whole experience will be made better. You will leave feeling happier and know she truly cared about your food and dining experience. Her knowledge about gluten free food, caring attitude and willingness to go above and beyond should well be noted. I love, love love everything about this restaurant and can’t wait to go back, and hope that Julianne will be working. A++++
