Nice low key restaurant in downtown Kannapolis. I went here for my birthday. I got the NY strip steak with coconut shrimp, fries and asparagus. Everything was delicious, the aesthetics were great and the staff were very friendly. Nice fine dining restaurant in a small town. I think that is one of the only fine dining restaurants there. The prices were pretty decent no complaints.

First time visiting Chophouse. Party of three on a Tuesday for lunch. Only about 1/4 full and we were seated right away and the place was quiet so we could carry on a nice conversation. Service was fine overall and staff was friendly. Menu is diverse and prices are reasonable (though on the high side). From time of order to food at the table was 16 minutes. Most of our food was rated as tasty. I agree, the onion rings are not the best around, but they are not ‘bad’. Batter on the rings was not crispy and they lack some flavor. Sweet potato fries were excellent and all our meat was grilled to the level we wanted and the flavor was excellent. We asked for the BBQ sauce on the side since this is NC and their sauce here is not what you will find in the mid-west or Texas (that is a preference though). To be honest, the burger didn’t need any BBQ sauce.

I was very pleased with my visit and absolutely enjoyed my meal. I sat at the bar instead of waiting 25 minutes for a table. Jeremy, the bartender, was very attentive, and kept checking in on me even though I did not order any cocktails with my dinner. I have spent over 40 years in the restaurant business and it is more challenging than ever to operate one. Reading some of the other reviews makes this clear. Food is over seasoned or under seasoned. Long wait times, inattentive wait staff, etc. I did not see any of that, and I was there at 7pm on a Saturday night (without a reservation)!!! I added pepper and salt to MY taste, so in my opinion it is always easier to add flavor than remove it. Bread rolls were great, I ordered the 9oz Prime Rib with baked potato and French fries. It arrived quickly and was devoured just as quickly. Friendly folks all around me, and everyone seemed to enjoy their dinner. Prices were very fair considering beef prices are at all time high. Do yourself a favor and try it. Give yourself enough time to walk and browse around the other shops nearby. Just a fun evening all around…

First time visiting Chophouse. We had reservations so we were seated right away. Our food was delicious and well priced for what we got. The service wasn’t great. Our waitress seemed annoyed to take our order. Our food came out quickly. We both finished our waters about halfway through the meal and no one offered to refill them the whole time we were there. I tried to ask someone for more water, but after we payed the bill I couldn’t get anyone’s attention. Our waitress rung us out while I was only halfway done with my meal. The poor service may be because we went on Valentine’s Day, but we went later in the evening so the restaurant wasn’t even full.

We got the Valentine’s specials, Sherry Cream steak & mushroom porkchop…both cooked to perfection. However, the twisted ribs appetizer was chef’s kiss. We’ll definitely come back to try some other items.

Well why is everyone raving about the onion rings ? As they were very bland ZERO flavor , the wait staff was extremely slow , and the business wasnt busy . The expediting team was clueless as to where the tables were and where the food went . I had the pork chops with the 101 signature mac n cheese and steamed veggies, well they may want to change the signature to something with flavor as the Mac n cheese was HORRIBLE , the mixed veggies was carrots , onions and im guessing zucchini, well the carrots weren’t cooked and the seasoning didn’t season . Now this was our first time there and it will gladly be our last . A couple sat down beside us and never even got greeted as they walked out after 15 minutes and a full conversation with us about the food. Now it was claimed it was because of shift change . We’ll shift change shouldn’t effect the quality of food and taste of food . Poor management folks , if they want to run with the big boys then they need to change a lot starting with being in the south we flavor our food attitude. Save your time and money and go to place that shows more interest in their food besides a price tag. And FYI the pork chops were good but I’ve had better the burger was good but could’ve been better .

Chophouse 101 completely surprised me in the best way. The steak was honestly the best I’ve ever had… perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The wine selection was great, and the atmosphere hit that sweet spot between classy and comfortable.
It’s the kind of place that feels special without being over the top, and the prices are really reasonable for the quality you get.
We had crab cakes, ribeye, asparagus and key lime pie and I’d definitely get it all again!
If you’re looking for a great dinner spot in the area, this one’s definitely worth checking out!

Stopped in on our way to a hotel after a long day. We really had a hankering for some steak and Chop House 101 did not disappoint! It is located in really cool little downtown area with nice shops, very walkable & pet friendly. My hubby got the ribeye and I had the center cut sirloin. Both cooked to perfection & melt-in-your mouth delicious! Lots of great sides to choose from. We both got the house salad, I also got mac-n-cheese & hubby got the fries. They said their fries are the best and they were not kidding! I tried one of hubby’s fries and quickly wished I had gotten them also! Service was OUTSTANDING! We would totally make the trip back to NC just to have another meal there!

Service and atmosphere were excellent, but the food was not that great. Crab cakes need to be taken off the menu, the steak was over cooked , and onion rings were ok, but the bake potato was really good and hot. Shrimp were good also. Great friendly waitress. I won’t be back food was not quite good enough
