Oir group of 26 had a fantastic lunch. Service was great and the staff made sure to take care of everyone. The kids were brought food first which is excellent. I had a Starter Caesar salad, followed by the Fillet Minion with Black Truffle Butter, Loaded baked potato and seasonal veggies. Paired with a 6oz Glass of Iniskillin Pinot Noir.

I may not have the best pictures but I have the best dinning experience I’ve had in Ottawa region. Delicious steak, fantastic service and the way they pay attention to details; it made this experience unique for me. In addition to all of that It was a great idea to celebrate my birthday in here . They made sure that it was an unforgettable one. Thank you sooooo much to the entire team and appreciated every effort taken.

Fantastic spot. Staff are amazing. Place is spotless. Bathrooms always great to walk into a clean and good smelling bathroom. Speaks volumes of the regular cleaning of the establishment. Keep it up!!!
Food… did the steak bites. As always fantastic and mixing the Mustard and the Horseradish together….. another level!!!! The bar tender advised of this!! Fantastic bit of advice. Icy cold pints and lovely chatter with the Bar tender.

As a non-sponsored guest, I’d give Chop Steakhouse a 3.5/5. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, and the three appetizers we tried were all well done. My fillet mignon was also cooked perfectly.
However, the cocktails and main course sides didn’t quite hit the mark. For instance, my Caesar salad was mixed poorly, with all the salty capers and dressing at the bottom of the bowl. This made the first half of the salad taste bland and the second half too salty. The main course presentation felt a bit basic, with a slight cafeteria look and feel. In terms of cocktails, we tried 3 of their in-house cocktails and they were decent, but nothing more.
There’s definitely room for the restaurant to improve, especially considering its price point.

The service at Chop is so, so good. The hosts are really warm and welcoming, and the wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Maybe one of the best teams in Ottawa!
The place is nicely designed — modern, upscale, and warm. Music is of course a matter of personal taste, but I felt it could’ve used a touch more sophistication. The playlist was a bit obnoxious and gave me more of a Moxies feel. Some deep / refined house might’ve been a better match for that “chic energetic upscale” thing they’re going for.
The food is what needs to catch up to the quality of service. I ordered prime rib: the quality of the cut was average, it was slightly dry, and the crust wasn’t well formed (horseradish was super though). The mac n’ cheese side was like high-end TV dinner quality. Ordered a chocolate cake for dessert and it was decent but a bit dry as well. They took care of me but I was kind of disappointed because I feel like that overall team deserves better for their efforts.
In conclusion, it’s certainly not awful but they are not reaching their full potential right now, particularly at their price point. The food (or at least the food I had that night) is holding them back from an otherwise top-tier experience.

This was my first visit to Chop Steakhouse & Bar, and I had been looking forward to a great meal and even better conversation with good friends, and it absolutely delivered on both.

Came to celebrate our 13 Year Anniversary and didn’t expect anything more than our dinner. We were greeted with a glass of champagne each and at the end of our dinner we were given a card from the staff saying Happy 13th Anniversary and a free appetizer for the next time we come back. Our waiter was Donavon and we were very happy with his service! 🙂

SUMMONING ALL MEATLOVERS AND NON-MEATEATERS ALIKE!!! I went here with my family for my brother’s birthday, and our server Chris and the manager of Chop were so accommodating to the group’s allergies. The meats were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! My favourites were the filet mignon and the prime rib, it practically melted in my mouth. As for the birthday part, my mom and her godmother brought pastries to celebrate, and Chris was great! Quiet and just the provided candles (though Chris did offer sparklers), and a free dessert on top of that! To see what we had, see the photos attached! Though a bit more pricy, it’s TOTALLY WORTH IT! Please please please check this place out.

We ordered online from chop steak house on New Year’s Eve for a pick up eat out option. We ordered 3 steak very well done, 1 steak medium well, seafood linguine and a kids salmon. When we arrived for pick up, we asked one of the ladies to make sure the well done steaks did not have any pink what so ever. The lady responded and said not to worry as they always keep the well done steak extra long on the grill! Once we got home , the 3 steaks that were suppose to be well done were medium rare and the portions were very small, on top of this a whole steak meal was missing. When we called to report the missing meal , they said they would refund that meal in the next 5 to 7 days but did not do anything on top to make up for the mistakes. Very disappointed the food was good overall but I wouldn’t recommend as they did not care to make up for missed instructions.

My family & I went there last weekend & it was the most incredible dinning experience we’ve had in years. The service from Pilard was amazing, she did everything we asked for and more, she checked in on us at the right times & was so kind. The food came out so fast, we were not waiting. On top of that it was the best steak and lobster I have ever had in my life. Hats off to the chef’s. Everything was very well done. It was worth every penny! So grateful to have shared this experience with my family.
