Finally made it here. Don’t normally get to places that are BYOB but it was cool that we were able to bring our own wine no reservation we just went and we’re very quickly seated the ambience of the place overall is pretty nice. It’s relatively small. I do feel like they probably should pay a little attention to the floors. I’m not sure if these were left over from your own place or if they were new but they’re buckling and kind of Kicking up in spots but the table seating in the overall decor was great. The waitress was super friendly, super nice and knew her menu knew the food. I personally asked her for recommendations on the entrée I want up going with the lamb. It was delicious. We got the grape leaf appetizer as well as the something cigarettes. It’s on the menu. Everything was really good and we even opted to try the one dessert again I can’t remember the name, but it was like the most authentic dish they had on the desert menu and it was absolutely to die for it was almost like a a version of pineapple upside down cake. Presentations were all good. The food was all hot delicious cooked to perfection the Taziki sauce I think may have been homemade and the service was great like I said the young lady we had I wish I could remember her name. She gave me a recommendations on a lot of stuff and I went with everything she said, and I was not disappointedso if you’ve yet to check this place out definitely go and do so.

Stopped here on the whim, I was visiting another business in the building. Never knew this place existed. Over all the food was good. My spinach appetizer seemed possibly pre-frozen and barely had any filling, it was mostly fried dough. My entree was delicious and would have been perfect had it not been for the portions. Charged $10 to add three shrimp to the lamb entree. No biggie, my problem is looking at all the other pictures in the reviews and it seems everybody else received 4 lamb chops, I was only given 2. The restaurant itself is cozy and comfortable. My waitress was nice and attentive. I just have to go with 3 stars due to the portions and feeling slightly overcharged. My total for everything in these pictures was $56.

I highly recommend Chop Shish! The atmosphere is charming and comfortable, and the service is excellent. Our food was absolutely amazing and was prepared with great care. Of all the places around the world I’ve eaten baklava, I can honestly say this was the best baklava I’ve ever had.

Wow! We were so pleased with our recent meal here. We got the large mixed appetizer (all 7 of the cold appetizers) and the Chop Shish mixed grilled (6 of the chicken, lamb and beef dishes), in addition to the kazandini dessert (not pictured). The food was fresh, hot, high quality and served quickly. The fresh pita bread with the appetizers was perfect. We haven’t eaten this well since we lived in the Mediterranean. A multi-course meal with dessert for <$65, and more food than we could finish, also made this a wonderful surprise. We’ll 100% be back!

How can you drive past a location and not notice something new? On Market Street in Camp Hill, Chop Shish Mediterranean has served Mediterranean/Turkish cuisine since November 2023.
Thanks to new friends who suggested we meet and dine at Chop Shish, I was pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem.
Chop is accommodating as a BYOB restaurant with an extensive menu and excellent service from owner Yilmaz Baran—plenty of parking behind the restaurant, which is located in the Old Camp Hill Borough Building.
The veggie platter was enough for four adults to share as an appetizer. I chose the tender chicken kabobs, which came with rice and a salad.
The beautiful scenic mural in the restaurant reminded me of the movie, Murder on the Orient Express, when the train left Istanbul.
I look forward to our next dining experience here at Chop Shish Mediterranean.

Chop Shish is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic Mediterranean flavors with a Turkish twist. The fried calamari was perfectly crispy and tender, while the lamb chops stole the show juicy, smoky, and grilled to perfection. Paired with fluffy rice and a fresh salad, every bite was a perfect balance of savory and refreshing. The kunefe-style dessert, rich and creamy with a crispy golden crust and a drizzle of chocolate, was the perfect sweet ending. Baran, the owner, adds a personal touch to the experience, ensuring every guest feels welcome and at home. If you’re looking for a laid-back spot with incredible food, Chop Shish is a must-visit! FYI it’s BYOB

Randomly found this restaurant as I drove by. I decided to stop in. I initially was going to stop at another Mediterranean restaurant nearby, but it was closed.
I’m glad I made the stop. The food was extremely delicious! I ordered as an appetizer – calamari (tasty, a little salty: but flavorful) and as a entrée- Grilled Lamb Chops…so good!!! It came with rice, salad, and rosted hot pepper/tomato. Everything in the dish complimented each other.
For a desert – Baklava (baked daily!) If you haven’t had fresh Baklava… try it, definitely way better than stale! You will thank me 🙂 And of course you can’t have a Mediterranean meal without the Turkish coffee…hits the spot
Friendly host, clean restaurant, cozy and plenty of tables.

We were excited to try this restaurant. After eating, it was just meh for me. I didn’t like the salad, rice, or the meat patties. Salad seemed tasteless with old lettuce. Rice was a pilaf type rice that had a weird aftertaste. Meat didn’t have enough seasoning for me. However, my husband did like his salad, rice, and meat. He liked that the portions were light. This is why I give restaurant a 3 stars to be fair.
I did like their pita bread but not the babaganoush, which was tasteless and no seasoning. I did like the calamari. It was salty unlike the rest of the bland entrees. If I were to return, then I’d get the appetizers and desserts.
Service and atmosphere were nice. All this was about $78.

October 2024: things here have changed. The food is still good but it is nothing like how the menu describes it. In fact three of the chicken entrees are described identicaly. None of which is how the food actually came out.
The waitress said that they have had many changes and issues in the kitchen.
That said the food we got was good.
April 2024: This place does not suck!
The food is very good. The room fun and lively.
We had the honor of having the owner waiting on us. What a wonderful time.
No matter what you get for dinner, make sure you end the meal with the baklava and Turkish coffee.
Highly recommend.
