We celebrated our anniversary here and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! We loved the N/A margaritas as we don’t drink alcohol. I forgot to take photos but the crab dip and bistro salad were delicious as starters to share. For mains, I ordered salmon with demi-glaze and duck fat fries, and my fiancee ordered the ribeye with the steak sauce and mashed potatoes. For dessert, we enjoyed the apple crumble with vanilla ice cream. Great service and great food! If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back!

Went on a Thursday evening before the snowstorm for my birthday dinner and the ambiance, food, and service was amazing. Basically ordered everything on the menu and tried a couple cocktails. It’s such a beautiful restaurant and the food really highlights the beauty of leaning into locally sourcing food. Love that they make all the sauces in house- the peach ketchup with the duck fat fries were delicious. Loved the fall hash and parsnip cream sauce on the roasted carrots was delicious. I may be lactose intolerant but the ice creams were all worth it. They even did a nice touch with a Happy Birthday note on the table. Highly recommend for dinner one of the nights you’re in the area! It was cold so we sat inside but there’s nice seating no matter where you sit honestly. I’m sure the patio is great in warmer weather.
Sidenote: I do t really eat meat and they had plenty of veggie sides and a Tofu Steak. I tried the Salmon so can’t speak on the veggie entree but quite a few sides and appetizers so still caters to vegetarians! Now if you’re vegan you’re a bit more limited but then again it’s not exactly a vegan restaurant so just plan accordingly.

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic experience at the bar for dinner with Jade the bartender! The crab dip was out of this world and so was the Ribeye and the burner burger! Steak was amazing didnt need any sauces but you can pick some on the side (the horseradish was also amazing and the dem-glace). For a good time or amazing food this is the place!

We had an absolutely amazing experience at Chop House Bistro! The ambience was perfect—warm, inviting, and relaxing. Everyone we met was so kind, friendly, and attentive, which made the evening even better.
The starter bread was a standout on its own—soft, bouncy, and delicious, paired perfectly with their sweet butter. A must-try! The steak was a solid 10/10: juicy, tender, and cooked to perfection. The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, and we couldn’t stop eating it.
For appetizers, the Crab Dip and the Shrimp & Grits were must-haves—both incredibly flavorful and rich. The fried catfish was another highlight: perfectly seasoned, very flavorful, and served with a yummy sauce that tied everything together so well.
Let’s not forget the cocktails—super flavorful, refreshing, and crafted with care.
Overall, everything from start to finish was fantastic. 10/10 experience! We will definitely be returning the next time we’re in town on vacation!

This one is difficult because literally everything was amazing except for the steak. The sauces they served were extremely good. The mashed potatoes were extremely good. This might sound weird but even the water was the best water I’ve ever had. The steak though was a bit disappointing. It was tough and it almost felt like it was sous vide, which would make sense because it took forever to come out even with the place being empty, but that doesn’t explain it being so tough. Maybe it being the off season for the area would explain it. Who knows.

A dining experience that will have you talking for days to come! Cozy, yet upscale design (huge fan of the chair!). Our server John was a delight. Great recommendations and fun personable demeanor. Most importantly the food was top notch, simple yet bold flavors and cooked to perfection. My husband raved about his old fashioned! Thanks for exceeding our expectations!

Food was amazing, especially the duck fat fries. I can’t stop thinking about them. Personally, I didn’t like the cheesecake, but if you like tart foods, you might. What really stood out to me was the staff though. Phenomenal service, everyone was kind, friendly, and accommodating. I’ll definitely return if I’m ever in the area again.

So I’ll start out here saying that the service was good and our server was very nice.
The focaccia starter, while very cool that it was complimentary, was also squishy as hell (not in good way, half unleavened). See photo (I tore off the part that looked like bread so it wasn’t all like that).
The cocktails, you ask? Okay, I feel like I could’ve made them at home and I’m a idiot. They tasted like slightly fancy rail drinks. The wine sounded (?) good from the other table.
The mains were decent, but the side Mac and cheese was giving microwaved (in one bite there was scalding hot and freezing cold Mac). So they took it back and microwaved it further. The catfish wasn’t bad and the fries were good though.
Your experience may vary but this was my story and I’m sticking to it.

Excellent. Best restaurant we discovered in Luray and possibly the only upscale restaurant in the area. (That we personally discovered.)
The building itself is very pleasantly decorated. The staff were all extremely friendly, polite and professional.
The food was outstanding. Full of flavor. Very good options on the menu, along with seasonal items. The cocktails were very good and they also had 4 local beers on tap, as well as bottled beer and a decent wine selection.
If you are in the Luray area and want great food, good service and a more upscale vibe – this IS the place.
Update: came by again to sit on the porch this time. Enjoyed beautiful views of the mountains as we enjoyed some appetizers and drinks. Service, food and experience was excellent again!
