I saw the dosas that this place served on social media and i was not disappointed by the size of ours when it arrived! It was beautifully light and crispy and the accompaniments were delicious.
The rest of the food was also really nice and the quality of the rice and paratha was so good and flavourful that I’d eat each of them by themselves without a curry.
Really recommend any lentil dishes from the selection of dishes we have.
Our waiter was also attentive and friendly, the only thing that let this place down was how quiet it was with so few people. But it really deserves more! The music also seemed to operate via Bluetooth and so occasionally cut out when the connected phone got a notification. I’m sure this is easily fixable though.
Overall, I definitely want to come back and try another variety of dosa, as well as their starters. There is so much choice on the menu, there really is something for everyone (including kids!)

Had an amazing experience here! The food was top-notch — the Non-Veg Thali was packed with flavor and variety, and every item tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. The Chicken Kothu was the star for me — super tasty, full of spice, and just the right texture. The Ennai Kathrika was rich and flavorful, a total comfort dish.
The ambience was lovely — great music, cozy vibes, and the staff were so warm and welcoming. You can really feel the effort they put into making sure guests have a good time.
Definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. Can’t wait to go back!

Saw this restaurant on an Instagram reel, I love Dosa and haven’t had it for ten years. Drove 90 minutes for an early lunch. The Dosa was the nicest thing I’ve eaten in around 5 years, the flavours hit all of my taste buds, the Dosa, potato filling and accompanying dips. Sai was my waiter, his recommendation was spot on, I genuinely couldn’t stop smiling. The atmosphere was traditional south Indian and at 1130 there was another couple too. Chatted to the chef after my food, they were so proud of what they produce. I’ll be back very soon, for more Dosa but also a traditional curry. Even driving home, I could still taste the spices… so happy.

We had an incredible dining experience here! The cuisine is truly authentic and delicious. A massive standout was the Biriyani—the portions are very generous and the flavor is outstanding. Another must-try is the Chinthamani Chicken, which was packed with flavor.
What really set the night apart was the personal touch. The chef took the time to speak with us and even customized the spice levels and flavors to our liking, making us feel truly valued. Combined with the warm, friendly, and highly professional service, it was a memorable evening. We will definitely be back

It was Day 2 of our Edinburgh/Scotland’s highlands tour and we were craving for the South Indian Food/Tamil food and decided to give Chola Highlands a try.

Food was quite good, quite reasonably price and staffs were very kind and helpful.

The waitress and Mr.Madhavan made sure we enjoyed our food and offered any service we needed.

We really enjoyed the food here. The poonugulu were crispy and tasty, the veg noodles were well cooked with good flavor, and the cauliflower chilli was spicy and crispy just the way it should be.
The biryani was the best part of the meal. It was flavorful, aromatic, and had a nice spicy kick, which I loved. To finish, we had gulab jamun, which was soft and sweet—a perfect ending.
I’d also like to mention Manoj, who handled our orders and service. He was polite, attentive, and made sure everything was taken care of. Overall, I’d say the experience was great—about 50% because of the food and 50% because of the service.
I Would definitely recommend this place.

Have just had my tea there – small Kadai Chicken (medium sauce), nan and rice, all very well prepared and tasty. Washed down with a mango lassie. All for under £20. Was served by the friendly and helpful Vivek. Highly recommended
Went again a few weeks later, and was served by the charming Sravani. Had Mushroom Curry – £15 with rice, very filling and nice.
