We’ve been ordering from Chok Dee Thai for years mainly for takeout. What keeps us coming back is that the food tastes great and the service is always kind, warm, and friendly.
Tonight, since it was just my mom and I, we ordered takeout of green curry and some Tom Yum soup with noodles. We were ordering on the speakerphone in the car and my mom said we wanted hot coconut milk with noodles. So, the owner said that she’d add noodles to the soup as requested. Both dishes were delicious and the broth was so flavorful.
After a long cold day and with my dad in the hospital, my mom and I needed a warm delicious meal.
When I came to pick up my order, the kind owner remembered that we came for dinner in restaurant a few weeks back and she asked about my mom and my sisters! She even remembered that my mom loved her Thai iced tea and got one for my mom.
It was such a kind gesture for my mom that truly brightened our day. My mom said as she sipped on the creamy drink, “now that hit the spot!” (In Indian mother speak, that’s extremely high praise! 😉 )
So if you are in the mood for delicious Thai food made by a warm caring family/ small business come by Chok Dee Thai!

I eat a lot of Thai food and have been to Thailand, and I think this is by far the best Thai restaurant in Bergen County. I live 30 minutes away, but whenever I have time I love coming by and trying their special dishes. The owner is also super friendly and clearly very passionate about the food they serve. Highly recommend.

This will always be my favorite Thai restaurant. There is very limited seating and no bathroom, but the food is so good. I’d probably recommend getting delivery/take out for these reason – definitely don’t come with a BIG party because it’s so small inside.
The mango sticky rice is one of the best desserts I’ve ever had and all of the dishes were great. My only suggestion is that the noodle dishes had a lot of meat, I would’ve preferred a more even ratio and noodles and meat. But the food here is amazing!

This place is great! food is very authentic and delicious. One of the better Thai restaurants I have been to. Prices are normal, and everything is absolutely delicious! You can also control the spiciness level in most of the dishes (just ask for it to be less/more spicy). I Definitely recommend this place! They have been closed for a while due to COVID-19 but are open now. They are super clean and careful with the whole situations. Support local restaurants!!

We love Chok Dee 🙂 Everything we’ve tried has been great. Tonight we got the pad see ew and kao mun gai yang, which were both so good. Also highly recommend the dumplings and corn fritters. Thank you for the delicious food!!

Amazing Thai food, lovely atmosphere, and kind service. My boyfriend and I came here for lunch and the service was fast and the food was delicious! Got the pad c-u and a noodle soup – so fresh, flavorful, and perfect texture! The Thai tea was also one of the best we had, it had a strong tea flavor which we loved. We’ll be back for sure!
