Great little hole in the wall place. No frills. No indoor seating. But they make up for it in flavor and portion sizes. One of the best moo shu pork dishes I’ve had. Everything was so fresh. Awesome veggie spring rolls. Great food all the way around. Service was super friendly. Prices were on the very low side for the quality and amount. Truly a place I’d visit again. I’d you live in this area, they are really worth stopping by and filling your belly.

Best Chinese food around the beaches area. Hands down. I’ve been eating here for the last 5 years and I’ve only had one little issue. And the manager immediately corrected the issue. The general tso’s chicken and fried rice is always very good we also enjoy the sesame chicken or sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Always very good. I definitely recommend trying out the best Chinese food at the beach. It’s a little teeny tiny secret local spot kind of. Hole in the wall. Those are usually the best places.

I had heard from some locals that despite the run down look of the building, the food was really good. I ordered the shrimp and lobster sauce combo. The fried rice tasted pretty much like white rice. And the shrimp and lobster sauce was meh at best. I did like the egg roll though.

I debated even posting this, because I’ve been ordering from this spot for over 15 years. Since I was a kid, this place was just the spot — even though, let’s be honest, it’s always looked pretty rough from the outside. The kind of place you’d never expect to trust, but somehow I did. I guess I was just used to it — loyal, almost brainwashed by nostalgia.
But lately, that trust is gone. The last couple of times I ordered, I found huge WHOLE feathers still attached to the chicken wings. The most recent time was so bad I actually brought the food back to show them in person. Even after I showed them clear photos, they told me they couldn’t refund me unless I brought the wings back. So I drove all the way home, grabbed them, and came back — and when I showed them, they just said, “We must not have been paying attention. We order the chicken from supplier – so it’s their fault”
That was supposed to be comforting, but it honestly made me sick. After all these years, that’s what we get? You admit you’re not even paying attention to what you’re feeding people? That you don’t have basic hygiene?
Yeah, they gave me a refund, after ALL OF THAT BS… but that doesn’t fix it. It wasn’t the first time I’d seen feathers, but this time was the last straw. I haven’t eaten there since — and I never will again.

Really good. I got the bean curd happy family and wasn’t disappointed. Everything was fresh and just as I asked. The brown sauce was perfect with the right amount of spice. Would recommend and eat again

I usually don’t go back and change the review but I went back today and it wasn’t nearly as good. The tofu was soggy and gross and kind of blended in texture wise with the veggies after I asked for extra crispy tofu. I don’t know if different people are cooking but this time you can tell it wasn’t made with love ..even though the egg roll was hot you could tell it was old by the way it tasted. Expected better..

The food here is DELICIOUS! I’d have taken a picture, but I couldn’t put my fork down. So far, this is my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. Everything was hot and fresh!

I was in the area and tried Choi’s today on the recommendation of a co-worker – and the fact that their chicken with cashew nuts did NOT list zucchini as an ingredient! I was disappointed to find, however, that there is, in fact, zucchini. So, aside from having to pick it all out, the food is good! I’m just sad that Choi’s is so far away from my home on the Northside

Trash Chinese. Anyone that thinks this is good has never left Jacksonville. Fried rice is just yellow rice and the beef is chew. Spent $80 for 3 people to eat and we trashed it all. DO NOT BUT FROM THIS PLACE.

Don’t let the dated facade fool you. They make fabulous food here at a reasonable price. We asked for Kung Pao chicken extra spicy, and it was some of the best Kung Pao chicken we’ve had in the area. We also had their crab rangoons which were fabulous. And to top it all off, the staff were courteous as could be. This is an unequivocal hidden gem. (Menu photo from June 2025)
