Everything was excellent! I’m surprised this place does not have more reviews! Got the japchae, kimchi tofu, and seafood tofu. Everything hit the spot! Flavors, level of spiciness, and the amount of protein you get. Also so many great sides!!! The service was fantastic! They were really nice and very fast! Will definitely be visiting this restaurant again!

A nice, cozy restaurant located in Chino Hills with tasty food and thoughtful service! We ordered three soondubu (soft tofu soups) and the spicy pork bulgogi, all of which were delicious and came in generous portions. The banchan (side dishes) were also plentiful and the server came around to refill the ones that we liked most. I particularly liked that there was variety in the side dishes that were served, which was unique compared to other places I have been – and especially appreciate the clean taste that Chodang offers compared to some other, comparable restaurants where I’ve felt the food was tasty in the moment but felt heavy afterwards. In summary, would highly recommend!

New management, taste is much better. Better than Youngdong.
I ordered Soontofu and grilled Squid. This restaurant is my favorite now.

This is our favorite Korean restaurant in Chino Hills. It serves authentic Korean dishes including Kalbitang (beef bone soup) and the dumplings. The side dishes are always decent and change often. You won’t be disappointed here if you are hungry for Korean food. The staff has always been super friendly and attentive.

Update: we had our lunch here this week and the bibimbob was as good as before. Definitely worth a try if you haven’t already.

This is the worse Tofu soup that I never tried before. Compare to other Korean tofu house, Chodang tofu soup is bland, they said spicy but it’s not spicy. I can tell they use tomatoes paste to make the soup colorful, so the soup tasted a little bit weird, tomato flavor, it’s not like authentic Korean tofu soup.

All side dishes are average, the only thing tastes okay is grilled galbi beef ribs. The reason I came here for lunch cause I saw they have a better review than other Korean restaurants around Chino, but I won’t come back again for this food quality.

The customer service is average, not nice even they’re not busy at lunch time.

The food has always been very good here, and as long it is, we will con’t to visit when we can. The atmosphere is very nice also, as it is not a loud place. A small, nice place to have some really good korean food, if that’s what you like.

Nice Korean restaurant to enjoy a delicious meal. Got the beef tofu soup, and the flavor was spot on. It was missing an egg, but I suspect it was due to the crisis shortage of the egg at this time. Along with the side dishes, the meal was very satisfying and fulfilling. Highly recommended.

Last Christmas, my whole family got sick with an unknown flu. I canceled Christmas dinner and ordered pork cutlet from a nearby restaurant to feed the kids. They gave me plenty of sides and it was delicious, so the kids ate it with satisfaction. I felt bad for not having Christmas dinner, but I was so grateful.

Tried this place on a Friday evening. We got in around 9.15 PM and were the only ones there till close. By SoCal standards, this is pretty slow.
The service was quick and friendly but the food was mediocre. The spicy chicken was barely marinated, tasted dry and the pieces of chicken were huge. Most chicken pieces were half cooked and appeared stale. The tofu soup tasted bland too. They were nice enough to accommodate our special request to have a shrimp only tofu soup, but we really did not enjoy the food.
Hate to be the first one to review the place and leave a negative one, but it is what it is.

This is a local Korean restaurant that specializes in tofu soup and always provides a delightful array of side dishes, which is a pleasant surprise when visiting. Recently, the restaurant underwent renovations, giving it a clean and contemporary look that adds to its appeal. During my visit, I ordered the seafood soup noodle, but unfortunately, I was disappointed with the overwhelming flavor of shellfish and clams. It’s not a great option for those who prefer a more balanced seafood taste. The price of the dish was a bit expensive considering the portion size, quality, and flavor. Despite this, the restaurant is still a good option for those looking for a satisfying lunch of tofu soup.
Server was very attentive and always refills side dishes.
