I visited here for dinner on a weekday while traveling in Kiryu.
Although the portions were quite large, everything was delicious and I finished it all in no time.
And the prices were reasonable… I’d love to go again.

You can enjoy delicious meals in a nice atmosphere in a renovated old house! The course meals are not only visually appealing, but also delicious. Today’s fish dish was sauteed flounder. The grilled vegetables were well seasoned and delicious as is. The sauce was also very delicious and we ate it with bread. The dessert presentation was also wonderful and we had a great time! I’m glad we came to this restaurant for my sister’s birthday!

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner in a dimly lit restaurant that reminded us of a scene from a movie.
From the salad dressing, freshly baked bread, main course of fish, soup, and dessert, the delicate yet rich flavors were all delicious and varied.

Next time, I’d like to visit for lunch.
Dinnertime is the perfect time for a chic adult date. ♪

I tried calling to make a reservation the day before, but they told me they were fully booked about three times. I’d been wanting to go, and finally got to go! ️✨ I called a week in advance and was able to make a reservation. ‍♀️
The appetizer, salad, soup, bread, main course, and dessert were all delicious. ☺️
I was so eager to eat that I forgot to take photos of the salad, soup, and bread… (My husband’s photos are also included.) They were so delicious I was completely absorbed in eating them! It’s no wonder they book up reservations the day before. ‍♀️✨
I’ll definitely go again! This has become one of my favorite restaurants. ☺️

The interior of the restaurant, which was built in the style of an old house, was calm and lovely. The entrance also had a retro feel. When I entered the restaurant, I was informed that it was fully booked, so it seems to be so popular that it is fully booked even on weekdays. There was no staff at the entrance, so I was a little hesitant about whether it was okay to enter with my shoes on. There was no place to take off my shoes, so I thought it would be fine, and just as I was about to press the bell in front of the register, a staff member came. I told them my name for the reservation and was shown to a seat by the window. There were about nine tables in a large Japanese-style room. The seats facing each other were separated by acrylic panels. There were three types of lunch menus. I chose the most reasonable lunch at 1,700 yen. You can choose from several types of soup, salad, bun or rice, and main dish. Some dishes require an additional charge. Dessert and drink are included. The food was beautifully presented and delicious, and it was a very enjoyable lunch. Thank you for the meal.

We made a reservation and arrived at 11:30, but the sign said they were already full.
The food was delicious as usual. The dessert was the best.

I came here because it’s been featured everywhere recently. (*^^*)
The stylish exterior looks like a remodeled old house. ♪
For lunch, you can enjoy authentic French cuisine with a touch of creativity for around 2,000 yen. (*^^*)
I also ordered the scallops, which are another recommendation.
They were incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. ♪
However, they tasted the same as the other main courses (meat and fish), so I’m worried I might get a little tired of them.
The value for money is great!
They have several rooms, so it would be fun to rent the entire place. (^-^*)/

I’ve had dinner here a few times before and knew it was delicious, but on Tuesday, August 14th, I had lunch there for the first time (1,650 yen). At lunch, I simply had a meal and dessert, but perhaps because there was no alcohol, the food stood out even more. The main course and dessert were even more delicious than at dinner, and I felt the value for money was excellent. The restaurant was completely full. I didn’t have a reservation, but I arrived just before 12 o’clock, so I guess I managed to get in just in time✨✨

This is a famous French restaurant in the local Kiryu area.
At a friend’s request, I made a reservation three weeks in advance and went there for lunch for the first time in December 2019.
It was one of the restaurants I wanted to visit, but I never had the chance, so finally it happened.
Lunch starts at 11:30, but when I made a reservation at 12 o’clock and arrived, almost all the seats were taken. There were only two two-person tables left, and both were in the middle seats, so it was a bit of a mess.
The tables were very close together.
Naturally, there were no partitions.
There is limited parking space, so it might be better to carpool and time your arrival accordingly. The area in front of the entrance was packed with groups, likely due to the number of customers.
Tourist buses were parked next to the space in front of the entrance.
Some restaurants allow you to decide on the menu when you make a reservation, but I decided on the menu when I arrived on the day.
The difference between the omakase and Chocolanoa lunch is whether or not hors d’oeuvres (appetizers) are included, so
I chose the omakase lunch with dessert.
I asked for a refill of the homemade bread. Extra rice was an additional charge, so I went for bread.
Dessert and drinks were available from a selection menu.
Burdock root soup. Today’s fish was swordfish.
For dessert, I chose cheesecake.
As expected, the chef’s excellent taste led to delicious food, beautifully presented on plates to match the dishes. The price was 1,700 yen including tax.
Reasonably priced, it was a satisfying and filling lunch. ☺️
It’s a restaurant chosen by travel professionals, after all. ✨
I heard that this restaurant is used as a lunch stop on the Hato Bus Pianissimo VIP seat tour, a sightseeing course that includes Hotokuji Temple in Kawauchi Town, so I checked the tour dates on the Hato Bus website before making a reservation. When I checked the bill, I was told that large rooms are reserved exclusively for group guests.
It seems best to make a reservation for lunch.
The restrooms are separate for men and women, and the displays in the women’s powder room were very nice.
They also handled the bill separately. Card payments Baked goods, chocolates, and cookies were lined up next to the register. Apparently they had more on hand than usual because they exhibited at the French Festival held at the Gunma Prefectural Government Office in November.
It’s also a good place to just buy sweets .
They’re closed on Mondays and the second Tuesday of every month.
Check out the Chocolanois website.
I’d like to make a reservation again and go for lunch.
