I wandered in this shop while strolling on Main Street. What a find for chocolate lovers! The woman that helped me explained the different types and % of dark chocolates. They’re curated from all over the world and beautifully wrapped. The two bars I got were outstanding. Definitely will be back. Also, this would be a great shop to get a gift for chocolate lovers.

Chocolate Geeks in Essex is a must-visit for any chocolate lover! I tried the truffle shot and the chocolate chip cookie. While the truffle shot was great, the real star of the show was the cookie. It was the best chocolate chip cookie I’ve ever had in my life! It was perfectly soft with a crispy outside, not too sweet, and had just the right hint of saltiness that balanced everything beautifully. It’s no wonder they have so many awards in the chocolate community.
I met the owner at the duck shop next door, and as he was explaining all the chocolate awards, I just had to check it out for myself. The wife and daughter were at the chocolate shop, and they were so kind and generous with their time, explaining all the intricacies of the world of chocolate that I had no idea of. This is a gem, and if you have time, you must stop here!

Their chocolate chips cookies are amazingggg. We got them from fresh out of the oven. They sell out fast so I suggest going when they first open to make sure you get a cookie!
We had a taste of their truffle shot and it was very rich and delicious. They have quite a selection of chocolate bars from various different brands – from milk to dark with different flavours etc. It’s a bit expensive.
Will definitely be coming back for more cookies!

Incredible chocolate and so many kinds. The shop looks fairly small but there’s so much variety. Good quality chocolate from different countries and the staff is super knowledgeable ! The chocolate bar shelf is categorized from least to most cocoa (left to right). Their hot cocoa is also very yummy.

I wandered in completely on a whim and was so glad I did. The owners were so sweet and clearly are passionate about chocolate, and gave me lots of great suggestions. The chocolate chip cookie was probably the best cookie I’ve ever had (and that’s saying a lot since I’ve eaten many cookies). The fig balsamic truffle shot was absolutely delicious too! I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in Essex and stocking up.

What a treasure of a store this is! In addition to the truly delicious chocolate shots that are made right here there is also a carefully curated selection of the best chocolate from all over the world. Heaven for any chocolate lover!

This is a specialty chocolate shop that makes their own truffle shots. I actually thought I was in the wrong store when I walked in because the chocolate is boxed and sold in what look like perfume or make up boxes. But you can smell the cookies the moment you walk in, which is what I came for! They were fresh from the oven and we had to wait just a moment for them to cook because they were still 118 degrees! They bagged them up and wow! They are chocolate, gooey goodness. They also have some other chocolate items like wafers, chocolate covered espresso beans and other items.
The owner also has the Essex Duck shop next door.
