Today was my first visit here. Was wearing prior due to the mixed reviews. First off, this place will give you sticker shock..my goodness $23 for a cup of strawberries over chocolate sauce is diabolical. I ordered 2cakes and a smoothie to the total of $33. Safe to say this will be my first and last time.
I understand that shops have to follow a fine line of costs and overhead..but there’s profit margin then there’s insanity. The cakes were OK but hard and smoothie felt watery w/too much ice mixed in. The cashier was friendly n sweet though. Overall, just wasn’t feeling it here. Mind you I drove 40mins one way for this place and left with a below average experience. Sweats/pastries are something I’m very passionate about..this place has alot of improvement to do. Wishing y’all the best in the future.

Most of the flavors here are really good, and you can tell they put effort into making their desserts taste unique and well-crafted. We enjoyed several items, though there were a couple that were a miss for us personally. Overall, the quality is solid, but the prices are definitely on the higher end for what you get. Still a good spot if you’re craving something sweet and don’t mind paying a bit extra.

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Chocomania in Sterling Heights.
I ordered a strawberry cup and asked to substitute Nutella instead of milk chocolate. I was told there would be an upcharge, which I agreed to. When I saw how little Nutella was actually put on the strawberries, I asked for a bit more and was told it would be another $2. At that point it felt like I was being nickel and dimed for every spoonful.
In total, I paid $25 for a small cup of strawberries with a very minimal amount of Nutella. The portion size does not match the price whatsoever.
What made it worse is the quality. Most of the strawberries were visibly bruised, mushy, and some were outright rotten. For a dessert shop charging premium prices, serving fruit in that condition is completely unacceptable. When you are paying that much, you expect freshness and generosity, not tiny portions and spoiled ingredients.
When I raised my concerns, the girl working there was rude and completely dismissive. There was no apology, no attempt to fix the issue, and no sense that she cared at all. That level of customer service only made an already bad experience worse.
How can a business justify charging this much money for something that is clearly low quality and poorly prepared?
Everything in this store is priced two to three times higher than similar dessert spots, and the product simply does not justify it. I walked out feeling taken advantage of.
I will not be returning, and I would strongly suggest others reconsider before spending their money here.

I’m giving this an honest review of one star because their customer service was terrible. I seen a video posted on social media of their ice cream being price, as six for nine.. the sales associate also confirmed that with me when walking in and I asked her how much the product was. I then had my kids pick out what they wanted, which was six each. Of the miniature fruit ice cream, then when I got to the register, she told me that the price is actually 12 for six. I therefore asked her then why did you tell me that they were one price and now changed it? She said that she was not working the week prior and didn’t know that change. I paid for the product because I did not want to disappoint the kids. Before I left, I did speak with another worker and then had said will you please change your social media pricing. She then explained to me that the distribution of the product was in such high demand so they changed the price again price was not listed. I was told a different price and then when I went to pay they changed it. My son also asked for a cup of water and they said I could buy a bottle of water. No thank you. You need to work better on your customer service and your pricing. I do not recommend. You can go elsewhere to get this ice cream and have a much better experience and much cheaper, terribly overpriced.

I don’t know who was working the front counter yesterday afternoon, but she was very enthusiastic about products, first time customers, & friendly as well.
The decor is on a whole nother level – like there is no competition. Thanksgiving was last week, to be this decked out for Christmas is honestly awe-inspiring and impressive.
I tried my first macaron, and glad I had it here. I am absolutely in loooove with the raspberry flavor, as well as the vanilla mochi which tasted fresh. Mochi was supposed to be to-go but when I tried the macaron, I just ate it there.
✨No crumbs.

This place never truly disappoints, as they have a variety of delicious and unique selections. I highly recommend their delectable crepes, sundaes, rolled ice cream, and the viral Dubai Chocolate Strawberry Cup. The café’s modern interior design is inviting and aesthetically pleasing. It’s a wonderful place to invite and introduce friends to. The food quality, ambiance, customer service, and staff are all great and impressive. They are also very up-to-date with the latest trends, which makes going there such a magical experience. As many reviews have noted, their selections are overwhelming, but that just makes you want to come back again. I highly recommend this place.

Eh. It’s not really worth the price. We spent $40 on two items. The Dubai strawberry cup and the strawberry cake and cream thing. The gentleman who seemed to be in charge was very kind. He was very sweet and informative about their products. I would come back if the prices were lower but I can’t justify spending $40 on two dessert treats when dinner is the same price for two. I know there’s people out there who can afford to spend $40 on dessert but even if I could it’s not really worth it. We’ve had the Dubai strawberry cup in NY for $12 and it tasted better and it was almost 1/2 the price of the one here. It was my first time having this strawberry cake thing, the presentation was beautiful but it was mostly like a “cool whip” center with some strawberry puree and “cake” (I say cake in quotations because it was the flattest cake I’ve ever seen) all dipped in a candied chocolate that again cost $20. They do have other menu items such as milkshakes, ice cream, smoothies, crepes, coffees, exotic snacks and sweet treats. If they lowered their prices we would love to come back and try other items but again, $20 on even a crepe is insane when the ingredients to make one is about $5 (I’ve made many a crepe before, I’ve also had crepes in Europe and even they don’t charge this much). Maybe there’s something I’m missing and they get ALL of their ingredients from across the ocean and they charging us the gas and plane prices to get them but it was cute inside and the staff was very friendly.
P.S. my friend almost got these two bags of Swedish candy until he said they’re $90 each! So beware that if you’re going there for these candies specifically they’re $90!

I stopped by Choco Mania for a drink, and it was delicious! It had the perfect balance of matcha flavor — rich, smooth, and not too sweet. The presentation was really nice, and the staff were friendly and quick with service.

When you go in here you have to know what to get so I would definitely recommend reading the reviews. I rate it 5 stars bc they have a really good variety of flavor in the shop. They have international snacks & drinks, and so many flavors of gelato. Truthfully, I just stick with what I know I like. The Dubai chocolate cake is sooo decadent. It’ll last you for quite a few days unless you just love sweets. But it’s delicious and full of kataifi which I love. The girls are always so sweet and helpful. I’ve been satisfied with every visit.

Choco Mania is a dessert haven with an overwhelming (in a good way) selection of pastries, sweets, and drinks. The first thing that hits you when you walk in is the amazing smell of fresh pastries and chocolate — and the display cases are absolutely packed with choices. If you’re into desserts, this place will feel like paradise.
Their Dubai Chocolate is the star attraction — super rich, smooth, and totally worth trying. It’s a bit pricey at around $24, but it’s indulgent and beautifully presented. One of those treats you don’t mind splurging on once in a while.
They also serve a wide variety of ice creams and crepes, along with tons of coffee options featuring different flavors. Whether you like classic espresso or something more creative like a flavored latte, they’ve got it covered. Everything we tried was delicious and made with care.
Service was great — fast, friendly, and efficient, even though the place was fairly busy. While some of the items are on the expensive side, the overall experience makes it worth the cost.
If you love sweets, chocolate, or just want to try something unique and trendy, Choco Mania is a spot worth checking out.
