Although Halal place but recipes are below standard. Kung Pao chicken has tons of bell peppers and carrots. No mushrooms, chestnuts or green onions etc.
Salt and pepper shrimps are just fried shrimps and chopped jalapeño peppers, no flavor or other usual ingredients
Hot and sour soup was good but no chicken.
Not my first choice or even 2nd choice

Really solid takeout spot for pickup. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and comes out hot every time. Portions are decent and the menu has all the usual from a Chinese takeout place. Everything we ordered tasted good and not greasy, which is a big plus. Service was quick and friendly, and our pickup order was ready right on time. Would definitely order again. They’re also HALAL based on the sign out front which is a plus too!

Just had someone close to me decide to try this restaurant for the first time. Normally we order from Top China in Dale City (being going here for years) but wanted something closer and new. He went over after checking the area and headed over for lunch. After he got home with the food, he found something in the lo mein and chicken he ordered. Whatever it was, was not edible and made him throw up for about 30 mins. The further I looked into it looked like a burnt insect or worse, looking at it had me gagging. I called the restaurant and spoke to “Jay” who said he was the manager and once I explained to him the situation he said he didn’t know what I was talking about. I told him we would be over so he could see for himself. I live about less then 10 mins away. Upon getting there (with the unidentified piece of whatever) “Jay” was on register. I explained I was the one he was just speaking with over the phone and showed him what I was taking about. He immediately got defensive and said they don’t put anything like that in their food because it’s an open kitchen and had the audacity to say that we put it there ourselves. He said there was nothing he could do because we didn’t have the rest of the food with us. For being the manager “Jay” didn’t know how to deal with the situation and hope the owner retrains him on his position or gets someone who can better deal with customers. I would highly recommend you think twice before ordering from here or if you do already check your order carefully.

The food was still hot when we got home. The General Tso chicken was delicious and breading was crispy. It had the perfect amount of spice. The portions are big.

Chiyoshi, the Halal Chinese restaurant, is a hidden gem for anyone craving authentic Chinese cuisine with Halal-certified ingredients. The restaurant offers a clean, welcoming, and cozy atmosphere, perfect for both casual meals and family gatherings. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel comfortable with their friendly and attentive service, always ready to explain the menu or make recommendations.
The menu is diverse, featuring a wide range of classic Chinese dishes, including flavorful stir-fries, aromatic noodles, and perfectly cooked rice dishes. The standout, of course, is their sushi and specialty rolls, which are fresh, creative, and beautifully presented. Every dish is prepared with care, using high-quality ingredients that meet Halal standards without compromising on taste or authenticity.
One of the best things about Chiyoshi is the balance of traditional flavors with a modern twist, making it appealing to both newcomers and seasoned Chinese food lovers. Portion sizes are generous, and prices are reasonable, providing excellent value for the quality and freshness offered.
While it can get busy during peak hours, the lively atmosphere adds to the dining experience rather than taking away from it. Overall, Chiyoshi is an excellent choice for anyone seeking Halal-certified Chinese cuisine — delicious, authentic, and satisfying, with friendly service and a comfortable environment that keeps you coming back.

I have ordered from them so many times but this is my first review. They have consistently been the top Chinese take out spot for my family and I. They are pretty pricey compared to other restaurants, however, I believe the price is on oar with the quality of their food.

This is General Tso’s Chicken? Hmm I don’t think so, their menu is deceiving. This is sweet and sour is anything and when I went in to bring it to their attention they refused to address it. Stay away from this place.

Fantastic Chinese American food! Had their orange chicken (with added broccoli), also shrimp with mixed vegetables. it was delicious! Everything was super fresh. Friendly service too.
Update: June 2024: tried their food again, this time delivery. Just had good as before! I like the consistency they have. (Note: they don’t offer any coupons or discounts)
