Good but not great place to eat in Brookhaven. First of all this is a hole in the wall from the outside but good and clean on the inside. Secondly the owners and staff are as nice and welcoming as you would find anywhere. The food was pretty good. Our companion who ate the fried oysters loved them. The shrimp po boy was plentiful and not bad. The Cole slaw is a home run. The cheeseburger was ok and the onion rights good.

This diner ain’t fancy and it ain’t trying to be. It is just serving amazing food. The fried catfish was the best I’ve had in years. And the fried shrimp are spot on. The fried green tomatoes also didn’t disappoint. And the service is excellent!

Unassuming place, not far off the interstate. Gets a lot of locals, probably less travelers. Glad we found this place, thanks to Google maps. The food and service did not disappoint. Food is cooked to order, but comes out timely and hot.

Casual soul food dining. The food was delicious and served hot. I got the lunch special and it was $8.95. Great deal in my eyes. Everyone was friendly. It gives off a homey vibe from the 1990s. I’ll be back!!!

Best cheeseburger and crinkle cut fries in Brookhaven. Stop by, place your order at the counter, sip on your sweet tea while your order I prepared. In less than 10, you are headed out the door with a refilled sweet tea and the best burger in the area. The only problem is trying to finish the drive home without sneaking a bite on the way!

My sister and I were in town for a wedding and the AirB&B we stayed at said “Chism’s has the best hamburger in Mississippi!” That is not true…We think it’s the best in the Southeast! The food was awesome, and the service was even better. We came back the next day for a plate lunch. Best red beans and rice ever. They would give New Orleans a run for their money! We can’t wait to come back to visit again when we are in the area. A+++!!

Great little mom and pop diner. Terrific burgers and onion rings. They have daily plate lunches too. Would love to spot here again when I’m in the area. Very nice staff as well.

Double cheese burger everything on it, no tomato or Bacon.
4 Stars because of – Unfortunately no dine-in or bathrooms allowed “due to Covid” although google maps says dine in allowed!
But hey, food is great, 5 stars!
