We came here as a last minute decision and we’re so glad we did!
This place boost an intimate environment with a small sitting area and bar area. There are tables outside as well. The service is fantastic. They have a photobooth in the back. We sat at the bar and enjoyed looking at the house line phones (one is a T-rex) as well as watching the chefs cook.
I cannot say enough about the food. We had Mexican cornbread (do not pass this up), duck tacos and squash soup. All delicious. We bought the Chefs a round of Modelo. Cocktails were also amazing.
Put this place on the list to go to.

This is my favorite restaurant to eat at in Knoxville right now. The intentionality behind every dish, drink and vibe speak for itself. 100% the best tequila selection in town and one of my favorite cocktail lists. The food changes every couple weeks or so, which is something that I love as I always like to explore new dishes. No one is doing a concept like this in Knoxville or even the entire southeast (as far as I’m aware) and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an incredible dining experience. ALSO all of the staff are extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and helpful. Can’t recommend this place enough.

My husband and I went here last night for dinner and it was amazing! We started with the brussel sprouts and wings which were both so delicious then we each got the burger and house chips and they were to die for. Perfectly juicy and the flavors were out of this world. We also shared a side of their corn bread that came with a jalepeno honey butter I could eat with a spoon! Also had a delicious Paloma to drink. Fun atmosphere and great service as well! Can’t wait to go back!

The meal we had here was divine. So delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The coconut shrimp was some of the best I’ve ever had. Carne Asada was cooked perfectly. Service was great. We got the peach tart for dessert and I will never forget it. It was so good. We will definitely be back.

quick back story, I am from south florida & moved to Knoxville for my girlfriend because she got into med school…. for MONTHS we have tried to find a place that really made us feel like we were back at home… and it’s this place. Chismoso has done it. This food hits the spot like a classic latin american restaurant but even better. Such a nice atmosphere in here and of course the service with Sam was fantastic. I wish I could give this place more stars and more praise- We would recommend the BIRRIA BONE MARROW & CARNE ASADA… for desert? the rice pudding! ♡ love love love

The place is such a gem! The menu was a little intimidating. The descriptions sound pretty fancy and it’s kind of hard to imagine what some of the dishes actually are. But literally everything we had was absolutely fantastic. Food was delicious and well seasoned. And the service was great too. Our main server was very attentive and friendly and we were checked in by other staff as well which we appreciated. We will definitely be going back to try more on the menu!

10/10 experience! The workers really take pride in making sure you’re taken care of. The drinks tasted fresh and liquor phenomal! We were told there’s no additives in the liquor used which is why it went down smooth when drinking.
As far as the food, you can’t go wrong with the tacos. The corn tortillas are good enough to eat on their own and do NOT taste store bought but handmade. Also they’re nice and full so I was satisfied with the 2 served on my plate. The cheese inside these tacos is seared to give that extra flavor.
The restaurant itself looks like a tight space but the workers make any spot work for your party. We were lucky to get the window seat and just take in the cool decor that makes this place “chismoso” and people watched. Definitely a cool date spot or fun night out with the gals
