In the last 6 months we’ve been having pretty good luck with Chipotle. For a while their portions have been shrinking and they’ve recently done good about it at multiple chains we’ve tried from the Bay Area and down in SoCal.
THIS completely reset the poor perception of Chipotle for us. It’s a huge bummer bc they’re the local spot for us. We ordered a bunch of food and this chicken burrito was a shock to us when we opened the bag at home.
Holy micro burrito with mouthfuls of tortilla, Batman!
Shame shame… I wrote corporate, but zero answers.
This isn’t a one-off issue. I’ve seen similar complaints on Yelp about stale guacamole, missing fajitas, and bland food at this location, which makes me think there’s a serious problem with ingredient prep or storage. I’ve submitted a formal complaint to customer service and hope they address the ongoing issues at this location. Until then, I can’t recommend eating here.
The person never asked me if I needed the receipt … he hastily pulled and trashed it in the bin. Was the place crowded?? Nay !
So: 1. Ask for your receipt. 2. Double check your receipt including money additions. 3.Pleasantaries dont work, it’s ok to show them the mirror. 4. Dont forget the above three points especially if you are non-American.
Do the math — 3$ on every entree where the receipt was not checked by the receiver. Over invoicing and generating funds off the book 🙂
And later when asked, they returned the money back – yet the situation was awkward.
I ordered for a bowl with honey chicken and extra steak, I asked honey chicken first then I asked for extra steak, the portion is extremely small, doesn’t even fill one single scoop. I have been to this place for many times, this is the first time I got such petty portion, it is unacceptable. After I finish the order, nobody wants to pack for me, and no receipt as well.
Update: I came to this store again and the same person helped me, and she gave me save litter portion of chicken without even asking for what kind of protein I want. TERRIBLE SERVICE!
I have had similar experiences in this Chipotle with this same employee in the recent past but this was a record low – I am never going here ever again and I say it again…. avoid this place at all costs!!!!
I went to Chipotle on Jan 27th 11:30 AM for a chicken & a veggie bowl. The lady who was building my bowl was extremely rude from the start and was scraping bits and pieces for each item I asked for – rice, fajitas, protein, etc. When I asked her to put more, she said “I will have to charge you”
At the end, I asked for sour cream & corn salsa on the side for each bowl but she only gave me one and said she will have to charge me for the other one. I pointed out that I have 2 bowls and should get 2 for free and she just walked away – so rude!
I asked for black beans. The pot was almost empty with mostly left over water. The server tried to scoop a couple times and then just gave up instead of getting a new box of beans
The sauces were all gone. She just scraped the box instead of getting new.
I asked her to put the sour cream and went ahead to pay, hoping that they will put it. When I reached home, there was no sour cream.
I ordered a chicken bowl, and the chicken was just dry.
The door says that they are open till 11:30 and I got my order around 9:30. They are supposedly open for the next 2 hours and I wonder what they are going to serve
