Tonight I stopped at this Chipotle location in Imperial Beach for a burrito for dinner. A place I haven’t been to for at least the last couple of months. While waiting in line, I noticed there were ONLY two employees working behind the counter. One cooking and the other employee was BOTH preparing the food and working the cash register. While waiting in line, I noticed after the young woman prepared the food, touching the tortilla and using the utensils for making a burrito, she rung up the customer who was paying with cash. Giving the customer her change while wearing the “SAME GLOVES.” As I watched her closely, instead of changing and throwing away the gloves after handling the money, she just walked over to the tortilla grill and started handling the next customer’s food with the “SAME PAIR OF GLOVES.” After I saw that, I just walked out. The manager of this location should go back to teaching the employees here “the basics of food handling and preparation.” Then Chipotle “the corporatation” wonders why their sales are declining. This is definitely a great start as a corporation to look into instead of jumping to conclusions and just raising the prices again which they want to do. Hopefully management will read this review if they want any constructive criticism and “IMPROVE” their food handling protocols and customer experience.

This place scares me. When you are not willing to clean what the customer can see, it makes me think what don’t you clean in the back where we can’t see. Every table is dirty, customers cleaning thier own table. Floor looked like it hasn’t been touched in a couple days. The carpet by the soda machine is screaming for a cleaning! Ice machine was down so no drinks. This place is in need of some serious management ASAP! Food was good but hard to eat after thinking about the above.

Word of the wise: come to this specific location when the store manager is present, and you will receive the best quality of food and service. The same can be said about the location in Mission Valley and Rosecrans. The store manager usually works in the mornings to early afternoon, not on weekends.

This is the most DISGUSTING Place I have ever been to in my life. Food literally everywhere. Trash all over the floor. NO utensils to even eat the food. Rice undercooked, guac is not fresh, out of chicken but sold me the scraps at the bottom for $15 I looked at the server and said you’ve got to be kidding me. I could literally go on forever. This location NEEDS to be shut down.

Mobile order, pick up. Asked for extra lettuce. Got SLICED cheese and half the lettuce. Also said they didn’t have lime juice sides made, so couldn’t give me lime juice.

This chipotle disappointed me. Rice was undercooked and when they were serving me I told them and they declined. When we tried it it was way undercooked. Everyone was complaining.

This chit pole is so amazing the associates were so respectful and the place was so nice and clean , and i came here on new years and there was no one inside so it wasn’t crowded but i dont know how crowded it usually is but the service was amazing and so was the food def recommend .

Every employee who works here acts like they hate their jobs. Tonight I went in with 2hrs left until closing and they were out of majority of ingredients and making little efforts to prep more. The guy working the food line was touching his phone with his gloves on and quite honestly looked like he was stoned. The tables are always filthy and no one takes the effort to clean them. This location is so busy and has gone down hill bad.
