I ordered a burrito bowl and apparently also signed up for a portion control experiment. Half a scoop of rice. When I asked for more, they looked at me weird. They added, I kid you not, maybe seven grains of rice. A generous sprinkle.
Then came the chicken. Calling it “a serving” feels generous. It was like they waved the spoon over the bowl and said, “you can smell it.”
And the fajita veggies? Who is cutting these? No one. There was an entire onion in my bowl.
So yeah, if you’re craving an Onion Surprise with Rice Dust and a little Chicken , this is your spot. Otherwise, save your $12 and just whisper “burrito bowl” into the wind. You’ll get the same satisfaction.
I’m a high school basketball coach. I placed an order for pick-up at 9:10pm, thinking that wouldn’t be an issue since they’re open until 10pm, trying to get ahead of the rest of my team ordering. When we arrived at 9:30pm, the place was mostly empty of employees, with the exception of one guy’s refilling the straws, forks and knives. While we waited for the kitchen staff to come take our orders I checked the pick-up shelf for my order. I waited for a few minutes and for my team to order and get their food, then asked if my order was done or was next to be filled, it was about 9:45 at this point.
The man at the register checked the pickup shelf, then told me my order must have been stolen. He then checked the printed out tickets that get attached to your bag and found mine there. Clearly, it hadn’t been filled or even checked upon receipt. He then told me they were out of carne (which was part of my bowl) and I asked if they had carne at 9:10 when I placed my order and he said yes, not seeing my point at all. I asked if they could make my bowl with chicken and they were out of that too. He then told me they were out of meat.
I asked if he could give me my $24 back and he said I needed to call 1-800-chipotle.
My biggest complaint is that if my order had been filled when I placed it, it would have been a non-issue. The second complaint is that they had all but shut down the entire restaurant at 9:30. My team of 29 would have all eaten there if they hadn’t run out of food. Guess what hungry teenagers don’t want at 9:30 after 3 games? Sandwiches.
