Finding a bug wrapped into the outside of my burrito was extremely upsetting and caused us to immediately stop eating and throw the food away. While I understand that mistakes can happen, this is a serious cleanliness and food safety concern.
We were already out of town and unable to return the food or address the issue in person, which made the situation even more frustrating. Given the cost of the meals and the fact that this was takeout food we planned to eat while traveling, this experience was unacceptable.
I’m sharing this review not to be unkind, but because I truly hope management takes a closer look at food handling, cleanliness, and overall quality control. This used to be a place we enjoyed stopping at, but after this experience, it is very unlikely that we will return.
The restaurant was clean and the overall atmosphere was relaxed. It’s a solid place to grab a quick meal when you’re in the mood for something filling.
Overall a good visit and I’d definitely come back again.
On 11/11/2025, the restaurant and kitchen were spotless, and the food was exceptionally fresh, flavorful, and well-presented. It was clear that extra care had been taken, and the overall experience truly reflected Chipotle’s standards.
However, when I returned on 11/12/2025, the experience was noticeably different. The kitchen area had dirty pots, pans, and grills visibly dirty, and several food items appeared dried out or lacking freshness. The food also seemed to be missing that signature lime flavor that usually distinguishes Chipotle’s offerings.
It was disappointing to see such inconsistency, especially knowing the previous day’s visit showed how great this location can be.
There was a line nearly out the door, and by the time we got to the front, they were out of almost everything: no meat except chicken, only brown rice, no veggies, no queso, and barely any black beans — the staff was scraping the bottom of the container. Lettuce and guac were running low too.
When we asked when more food would be available, the manager said it would be at least 5 minutes, maybe longer, because they had a catering order — and they were literally taking food from the main serving line to fill it. Meanwhile, they had a restaurant full of paying customers and a line out the door.
Catering orders should be prepared separately, not by depleting the regular food line during dinner rush. That’s just poor planning. In hindsight, I should’ve just walked out, but after waiting 25 minutes in line and having my bowl half-made, it felt like a waste to leave.
This isn’t the staff’s fault — they were doing their best. But the manager clearly wasn’t prepared. Poor experience overall.
While the staff is polite, the make line staff is always in a mild apologetic panic and the back staff shuffles around in a half-stupor. It is obvious that there is a terrible lack of communication in the kitchen, which makes it frustrating as a guest.
The last visit took the cake as I found out after returning home that the guacamole I recieved was literally one half of a very unripe avacado. I can’t imagine this location will last, which is a shame. This town deserves better.
Please note: The response below “from the owner” is anything but. It is merely an automated response designed to give readers like you the impression that Chipotle actually cares about customer concerns.
It’s too bad they can’t actually manage to care at the point of sale…
Tables are dirty, trash cans are spilling out, and the workers seem a step behind. Whenever they run out of food, it is not refilled very quickly.
I think it’s great that they are busy but wish they would pay attention to the smaller details a little more.
