This is unacceptable. For the second time, I’ve ordered from this location and received a half-empty bowl. I’m on the road, working long hours, and rely on quick, decent meals. What I got looks more like leftovers than a proper order.
You charge full price but deliver half the portion. This isn’t a mistake — it’s a pattern. And it shows complete disregard for your customers.
I don’t have time to stand around checking my order every visit. I trusted you to do your job. Clearly, that was a mistake. Photos attached — judge for yourself.

I’m pretty generous on my reviews. I try not to be too hard on a business. But this one is gonna sting. I have walked out of the restaurant twice as I got up to order and I see they are at the bottom of the pan with NOTHING being prepped. What a complete disappointment. It’s supper time and that grill should be sizzling with meats and the pots should be steaming with rice and beans. The poor young kid said, we do have carne asada, which I like, but as I looked over it was enough to serve 4 people and I was 5th in line. I debated coming here because of my last experience. This place needs to pick up their game.

We’ve given this location multiple chances, and it continues to disappoint.

Our first visit: staff standing around while every table in the dining room was dirty. No sense of urgency, no awareness that customers might want a clean place to sit.

We decided to try again—same issues. This time, we arrived at their posted opening time only to find the doors still locked. Staff visible inside, just not ready to serve customers. This has now happened more than once.

It’s frustrating to plan your day around a restaurant’s posted hours, show up on time, and stand outside waiting because they can’t be bothered to open when they say they will. Meanwhile, the same pattern repeats inside: employees standing around while basic tasks like wiping down tables go ignored.

We wanted to like this location. We were genuinely excited to have a Chipotle nearby. But between the chronic late openings and the lack of attention to cleanliness, it’s clear this store has a management problem. Get it together.

I hate Doing this…. I’m usually the guy that leaves positive reviews. But this chipotle needs help . Over the last maybe three months I have been here four or five times every time I have come it has been almost gross. The rice is hard and crispy. the meat isn’t great. Well it doesn’t seem right, the flavors are off. Tonight I came in and ordered without guacamole, sour cream or cheese so that I could get a raw example of what they’re making. The staff looks like a sloppy crew who would rather be somewhere other than where they are. Every time I have come here the tables haven’t been cleaned and the trash hasn’t been taken out. I went to college in Denver where chipotle started and this is a far cry of what a chipotle should be. I think they should hire a manager from Denver for this location so they know how chipotle should operate correctly. I’m sorry to say that twice, I’ve talked to management telling them I was unsatisfied. Tonight on a random occasion needing dinner quickly between meetings, I needed this food to be good. It wasn’t. I have no choice but to make a review.

The location is too busy and understaffed to handle the workload. You will wait in a 10-20 person line while 1 person is making food for the line and everyone else is seemingly standing around. The person making the online orders is interrupting the person serving the in-person guest constantly, and they are almost always out of very important ingredients (such as entire protein option, always out of the grilled veggies, cheese, sour cream, etc.)

Avoid this location at all costs if you place online orders as they will give you the tiniest portions ever. We ordered hard shell tacos and one of them literally had 1 cube of chicken in it. One single piece. For over $10 !!!

There are literally 3-4 people behind the counter aside from the person making the food for the people in line and they will all completely ignore the huge lines. Zero management or leadership evident, as this place could be infinitely more efficient if they actually used all of the employees they have on staff to make food.

$21.00 for a BURRITO and I didn’t even eat it. The place inside disgusted me. (Mind you, I had to clean my own table) the WHOLE place was FILTHY! Dirty, tables and there was food, trash all over the chairs and trash cans overflowing! I will NOT come back here again. EVER.

I have never been so disappointed in Chipotle here in Joplin. The service was not great, tables were filthy, and to finish the meat on our food was rubbery. It was supposedly fresh too. To pay $30+ for only two people for trash is terrible.

A piece of rice cut my tongue… how?
I don’t normally leave reviews, but what happened at Chipotle today was too bizarre—and honestly too unsafe—not to warn people.

I ordered their bowl of chicken and rice with an hint of spice (I like to live a little lol) expecting something simple. Instead, I ended up with a literal piece of rice sharp enough to cut my tongue. At first I thought I bit down on a grain of uncooked rice, but when I checked, I realized it had hardened into a sharp, rock-like fragment. The moment it touched my tongue, I felt a sting, and sure enough—when I went to the bathroom—there was a small but real cut.

What bothered me more than the injury was the staff’s reaction. When I politely explained what happened, the waiter shrugged and said, “Yeah, sometimes that happens when the rice sits too long.”
Excuse me? How is food that can turn into edible razor blades considered normal?

I left the restaurant with a sore tongue, an untouched bowl of food, and a very clear thought: If they’re this careless with something as basic as rice, what else are they careless with?

For anyone considering trying this Chipotle, I’d strongly recommend choosing literally any other place. Food should never come with a risk of injury, and the lack of concern from the staff makes it even worse.

Do yourself a favor—skip this place. Your tongue will thank you.

Employees wouldn’t dare to smile at you. If someone bets you ALL tables are going to be dirty, take out a loan, pull all your savings, and sell your investments to bet that they’ll all be dirty. Food is unfortunately good ONLY when they have it available and aren’t putting it up as you’re trying to order. If you’re open late, keep your food available. Change the music, change the lighting. No one enjoys the feeling of eating in a plywood and concrete dungeon. If you need business consultation, please feel free to reach out.

The overall cleanliness was a major concern. The floors were visibly dirty, tables weren’t wiped down properly, and there was leftover food on the table and seats. The area where food was bring prepared was also very unorganized. Staff was not friendly and when they were out of items- chicken and sour cream, staff did not offer substitutes. This caused the line to be long and we waited longer because customers were having to change their orders. Very disappointed as I have ate at other Chipotle’s and did not have the same experience.
