Don’t waste your time ordering from the Lakemoor, Illinois Chipotle unless you plan to stand there and watch them make it — and even then, you’ll still have to correct them because they can’t get it right!

This last order was the final straw. We ordered three bowls and a kids’ build-your-own meal. Two of the bowls looked like the picture I posted — skimpy and sloppy. How is it possible that a kids’ meal has more food than an adult bowl?! And don’t get me started on the chips. Do they think customers are too dumb to notice they’re cutting back? My “large” bag had maybe five more chips than the kids’ bag.

This location has been open for over a year, and in that time every single pickup or delivery order has been wrong. Customer service is just as bad — calling in means fighting with a robot that refuses to connect you to a human. On the rare occasion you do get a real person, they toss you a free entrée as if that somehow makes up for wasting gas, driving back and forth, and fighting to get to a person for 30 minutes over food that’s already overpriced.

I should also note we did reach out to them in the Chipotle app chat and their response was along the lines of: they will send it to the store management for review and ended the chat automatically when we asked for a refund.

Absolutely unacceptable.

Three stars is for the brand because I am an avid Chipotle customer originally however, I edited this review to 1 star after opening my bow.The portion sizes are ridiculously small repeatedly at this location only and this is an unofficial 3-pointer and this picture shows how small their portion of chicken is. Not only do they not know how to maneuver the bag around the bow to avoid this look of all topping to one side, but this half scoop portion is absurd. I ordered a second bowl with regular toppings and they were all half scoops as well. Poor training or either lazy workers. I have worked at chipotle for many years in the past and this is not how they are supposed to be trained. This location is a no-go for me

Make sure to check your mobile order before you drive all the way home! I normally do but today I didn’t and I will never make that mistake again. I opened my bowl and this is how much food was in my bowl (see pictures). It’s crazy! I paid $13 for this.

I really wanted to like this Chipotle because the people who work here are always polite and friendly, but I am completely done giving it chances.

My order has been wrong or incomplete at least eight different times. I have had missing items, the wrong toppings, things I paid extra for just not included, and bowls that clearly do not match what is on the receipt. It has gotten to the point where I have to check my bag in the parking lot like I am going through airport security just to make sure everything is there.

I understand that mistakes happen once in a while, but this is not once in a while. This is a pattern. When you order food, especially for a family, you expect to actually get what you paid for, not to discover at home that items are missing or made incorrectly. It is frustrating and a complete waste of time and money.

The worst part is that this Chipotle is so damn close to my house. It should be an easy go to option, but it is just not worth it anymore. This was the last straw. I will be going to other locations or other restaurants entirely until they figure out how to get orders right consistently.

To be clear, the staff are kind and respectful, so this feels like a management or training issue. But after this many messed up orders, I am done.

My host Charity made an amazing meal for me as you can see!! I was starving and this was my first meal of the day: chicken bowl with guacamole. The total came out to be $12.09. I dined in and had one of the best experiences at a Chipotle ever!!!

This order was delivered after a $66.00 order was placed through Grub Hub for Chipotle in Lakemoor, Illinois. After delivery (which was early), it was immediately clear that the food was inedible. The steak was badly burnt. The queso was so thick and lumpy that you can see a toothpick and a chip standing upright in the photo.

I made several attempts to call Chipotle to complain, and it was clear they didn’t intend to answer their phone. So I called their “customer service” line where I spoke with a less than helpful person who told me to call the delivery company about my burnt food and oatmeal consistency queso, which I did.

Grubhub, who is always great to work with, refunded my $66.

But Chipotle missed the point. THEY are responsible for losing a regular customer. THEY are the ones who have atrocious customer service. I hold THEM accountable. Not Grub Hub, who delivered my food early.

SHAME ON YOU CHIPOTLE!!! You’ve lost a good customer. This location USED to be the BEST! Never again.

Within minutes you send me a “contact support” message? I did that to start with. And fought with your annoying, won’t take no for an answer “customer support” AI bot called “Pepper”. But at least she was more pleasant than your actual support person that I mentioned I FINALLY was allowed to speak with. And she was useless and rude. Did you even read my review?

I had ordered a burrito on the app. I came in to see what was my burrito put into a bowl. Thinking it would be resolved and I would’ve on. I then watched the bowl get dumped onto a tortilla and just smashed into a burrito. I spent $20 on double steak for a good burrito. This might’ve been the worst burrito. This isn’t Chipotle it’s the location. Absolutely lazy and take zero pride. Here’s how my burrito looked. Lastly my order was set for 910 didn’t leave til 920.

I should’ve read the reviews before hand unfortunately i didn’t, I placed an online order and my bowl was basically half empty, it didn’t even have lettuce, cheese or sour cream like I ordered and my bowl was almost $16.

My husband tried this location again today and they gave him rotten brown guacamole. He took it back to the store and they gave him rotten Guac again then we sat down to just eat our bowls and the rice was hard and not cooked. We packed up the whole meal to take it back and then the restaurant said they couldn’t help us because we ORDERED ONLINE. So a hour and a half later we are still hungry and will NEVER go to this location again. They are a complete joke and not even busy. Worst service ever.

If you can afford to go to a different Chipotle I can’t recommend it more. Its the closest to me so stuck a little, but as someone that loves Chipotle, its really tested my patience and commitment to them. 100% of my orders are on the app, so there’s 0 reason for miscommunication, but about 50% of my orders are wrong and not just a little, but by a lot and its almost always the same mistake just made on repeat. Order Pinto beans, tomato salsa, guac. Dont get any of that, instead get black beans, lettuce, corn and chili salsa. I can’t tell if they are under cover owned by Qdoba on a mission to drive people away from Chiptole or if they genuinely can’t read the slip to know what to put in the bowl.
