I’m extremely disappointed to be writing this, but this situation needs immediate attention.
As shown in the photos, I bit down on what appears to be a rock (or piece of cement) in my bowl. This wasn’t a small inconvenience — it was a serious safety hazard. I was one bite away from cracking a tooth or causing real injury. No customer should ever have to worry about something like this while eating.
I have been here before where I felt the store was dirty and unorganized, low stock on food but I never would have thought this would happen.
Quality control and food safety should be a top priority, and this incident represents a significant failure in both.

It’s my fault I keep returning to this Chipolte. The only reason is because it’s convenient. The service is awful. The staff is unfriendly and barely acknowledges customers. My bag is almost always covered in sour cream, which is gross and careless. They run out of everything!! The last time I went they were out of rice, guac, chicken, and fajitas and it was 6 pm???? I have also ordered from DoorDash a few times. It was a disaster. The last time I ordered my dasher was at the store waiting for my order for over 30 minutes then he left to complete another delivery and came back and still had to wait. They also shut DoorDash off way too often. I understand it’s busy but get more employees? Half of the staff is in the back chatting and laughing anyways- but never with you!! They barely acknowledge you! Also my DoorDash order was all wrong. Beans in my bowl— I didn’t order beans! And they forgot chips and guac even though I paid for it!! Also the last time I went in person two tables were taken and the rest were empty but dirty so we couldn’t even sit. Instead of cleaning them the employees choose to stand around doing nothing. Worst location. I can’t emphasize it enough. In fact all the locations in Michigan are awful. If you want good Chipolte go to Arizona.

Catered tonight. Our guest bit into a penny that was in his bowl most likely in the sofritas. We were so shocked, upset and embarrassed since it was a dinner party we catered for our good friends. Shame on whoever let this happen!

Aweful. It was 2pm. First of all, dirty. Every table dirty, and the drink station totally gross with food and dirty napkins all around. We cleaned our own table. I was with my parents in their 80s. We were the only people dining in and half way through lunch, they turned on LOUD thumping music, like it was a night club. I immediately asked for them to lower the volume. The girl was SO RUDE! She BARELY touched the volume…I had to go up again, and again….she was totally out out that the ONLY PEOPLE dining in didn’t want her music loud. The OWNER of this restaurant should be ashamed of this terribly run restaurant- just read the reviews….3 STARS and Totally Mediocre food and a DIRTY environment. I am literally going to report this gross environment to the Health Department on Monday.

I love this Chipotle, but with a caveat. The food has always been excellent. It’s clear whoever runs this grill takes pride in it because the meat is well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Quality can vary from location to location and this one is consistent on that front. Plus I typically get a pretty generous portion here, especially when ordering in person. But the service is slow. You very well may be in for a wait to get your food. To me, that’s worth it because my burrito always hits but if you’re in a rush you may be a tad annoyed at the wait.

Power went out and an employee was telling people to leave the store, and placed a sign on the door that the power is out when my spouse went to pick up our order. Didn’t fulfill our online order. Charged us for the online order, and when I reached out to customer service, they are claiming they were operational and made our order. Not great, but this is the 3rd time a local Chipotle has not fulfilled our order and charged us the full amount. I used to love it, my kids love it, but nobody has the time and money for this.
If you really need to go here, order live and not online. I just cannot do it again. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me…you can’t get fooled again.

I stopped going to Chipotle long ago because the location in Ferndale is horrible. I found myself looking for a place for lunch and decided to give this location a try. What a mistake! I got a steak bowl. All down the line everything was slopped into the bowl, including a very large portion of sour cream. Once I sat down to eat, the rice and beans were mush, the steak was fairly dry and had a weird texture to it. The whole thing tasted like spicy sour cream. I didn’t even try to finish it. Not only was the line dirty, the trash was overflowing, the empty tables were not clean, and more than one worker should have been wearing hair nets. Won’t be back to any location.

Haven’t been to the location in years as it always seemed to disappoint. Stopped by as I was driving down Woodward and was hopeful it had improved since. Definitely has not. Out of multiple items including burritos. Order a bowl (double chicken). As I’m paying I tap my card, it reads $21.73. He charged me for my double chicken bowl AND a chicken salad. Could not grasp that HE only made me one thing and was cashing me out. I then mention that there is no salad and there is only one item in the bag. Still nothing. I said screw it, as it had already been 20 minutes to get it. Then I try and give feedback on the site – ‘sorry we’re having some troubles, please try again later’. I might have to swear off the whole chain after having to wait in frustration as they steal money from me.
