As she was making mine (white rice, extra) I saw her scrape the rest of the white rice in my bowl then add beans. She sat it aside and worked on my husbands. She went back to mine and scooped two scoops of brown rice and more beans on top.
I got up and asked her, is that for (my name) she said yes. I said did you put brown rice in there? She said, yes. I said it’s supposed to be white rice. She said, I know but that’s what we do when we run out. The other lady in the kitchen speaks up and says, I have more white rice right here.
I then asked the lady who was making my food, why would you substitute it with brown rice when I specifically ordered extra white rice?
And she said well that’s what we do and then when your delivery driver picks up your food, we let them know. I said well, I’m not a delivery driver. It’s my order and I’m here to get it myself. And she said again well that’s what we do and if you didn’t like it, we would remake it.
My husband then said why don’t you just make it right the first time if you’re going to Remake it anyways? She got extremely upset and threatened to walk us because we were upset. Our food was being made incorrectly, and then she threw down the scoops and walked off to the back office.
You can see the photos that I posted there’s nobody in the kitchen because we stood there for five minutes until another employee came out of the back and started making our food for us.
We stood there quietly, while she made our food and asked her not to put lettuce on as the entire container was brown.
It was 7 PM when the store is open until 10 PM, so I imagine they were going to have to make more white rice anyways
After we got our food, we sat down in the dining room to eat it, and several customers came in after us, and got their orders with no issue.
Chipotle sent me A survey after we left, but it doesn’t matter if you complain on those because absolutely nobody ever follows up.
I love chipotle, but the last year I have had more problems than it is worth for what I pay.
I am hoping that management reads this email and takes the necessary steps although I’m not sure that will happen because I’m almost positive the lady that I interacted with was a manager.
Just do better.
Too expensive!
I would rather go to Qdoba, across the street!
Cheaper and food is much better, bigger variety and tastier!
About $13-14 dollars, for lunch without a drink, just water with a lemon.
My husband and I got dinner here, and I ordered a kids meal- Victoria only gave me one tortilla (even online, it says it comes with TWO) and skimped on everything else. I asked politely for a small cup of corn on the side and she immediately said “that costs extra.” to which I just said that was fine. She didn’t even fill the cup up..
Then she only gave me a choice of milk or juice when I know a kids fountain drink is also an option.
If chipotle frowns upon adults ordering kids meals why do they even allow it?
My husband got a full sized bowl, chips, a drink AND queso and guac so it’s not like we weren’t spending a fair amount of money and I was trying to rip them off or something.
Usually the employees at other locations don’t mind and even ask me if I want an extra side.
I will not be back at this location because of Victoria.
In addition, on two separate occasions, I have noticed that the staff at this location do not greet customers or acknowledge the order with a simple “thank you.” While I understand that restaurants can be busy, basic customer service—such as a friendly greeting or expression of appreciation—goes a long way in creating a positive experience.
I think management needs to take this seriously and address the common issues that can be fixed.
