The employees looked absolutely miserable—like I walked in and announced a death in their immediate family. Store looked like crap. Doordash orders were piled up by the register.
This location is famous for always having a sign to warn you something is malfunctioning. What signs were taped up on to the sneeze guard today? Glad you asked. There were two:
1) NO(T)ICE: No Ice. Yes, the place with 10+ different cold beverages has no ice. Shame. I was looking forward to a glass of warm iced tea.
2) Exact change only: with “or card” scribbled onto it with a sharpie.
Oh, and the music was broken. Just cold, dead silence to go with your warm drink.
Here’s an idea You’re a $52 billion-dollar company. Act like one.
When he returned, all four entrées were incorrect. Only one item had a sticker on it, and it was not our name. He immediately returned to the store around 10:10 p.m. During this second visit, he learned that the grills had already been shut down around 9:00 p.m., nearly two hours before closing. Employees were telling customers they were out of chicken and steak and were serving only what was already cooked. This explained why orders were repeatedly incorrect—staff were trying to get rid of remaining food rather than prepare what had been ordered.
Because the order was prepaid through the mobile app, we could not simply leave. The manager eventually reprimanded employees in front of customers and restarted the kitchen equipment. My husband did not return home until 11:00 p.m. In total, he spent nearly two hours at the store over two trips trying to receive a correct, prepaid order. This food was intended to feed my two children.
The manager gave my husband a piece of paper with an 800 number and stated that we would receive a full refund, explaining that she could not process it herself because it was a mobile order.
The following day, I called the number provided. The representative I spoke with was extremely rude, interrupted me repeatedly, raised his voice, and placed me on hold while I was still speaking. He initially offered three free entrée credits (we ordered four) and dismissed the fact that my husband spent nearly two hours in the store. He also argued that since we eventually received the correct food, the situation should be “fine.”
I disagreed and explained that the manager specifically promised a full refund. After placing me on hold again, he returned and said he would cancel the credits and process the refund. He then ended the call rudely.
This experience was unacceptable from start to finish—long delays, incorrect orders, grills shut down well before closing, and disrespectful customer service afterward.
Several visits/month since this post and chicken spices and black beans still overly salty. For a nutrion- conscious business, sodium content seems low on the list of cares. Sure wish they’d address it.
