As a business owner in Nashville, I rarely write negative reviews out of respect for other owners—especially since the owner is usually not the one in the store. However, I feel I should share my recent experience at the Chipotle in Hermitage.
On Wednesday, my son, who is a student at UT, placed an order online (Order #723-2AW). By mistake, he selected the Hermitage location for pickup. When I arrived, the food was cold—this part was not the store’s fault. I waited for a moment for someone to assist me, and eventually a young employee approached me, looking at me without saying anything. I explained the situation and politely asked if the food could be reheated or remade.
To my surprise, she looked at me as if I was asking for free food and said, “No, we don’t do that.”
The interaction left me feeling embarrassed and disappointed. I wish I hadn’t even asked, and I hate that the conversation went the way it did.
My kids enjoy Chipotle, but I personally prefer Chick-fil-A—not only for the food, but for the kindness and customer service that always comes with it. I truly believe Chipotle employees could benefit from training on basic customer service and how to communicate respectfully with guests.

This was our worst experience at a Chipotle restaurant. After having a negative experience here a few months ago (rudeness from staff), we decided to give it one more shot. The place was nearly empty, only one customer sitting down, and one picking up a to-go order, my husband and I were treated as if we were annoying the staff by ordering items. They were sloppy, careless, and built our bowls as if they were throwing clothes into a laundry bin. The picture I’m including of my husband’s bowl looks especially sloppy and unappealing. Nearly every surface I saw needed to be wiped down. The kicker is that they charge an additional $2.80 for guacamole, but you can see on my husband’s bowl that he got about a tablespoon worth. Needless to say, we won’t go back. This restaurant is an embarrassment to the Chipotle brand.

The food was okay. Very little ingredients were added in my rice bowl. I thought it was strange the cashier kept touching their hair.

I’ve had such horrible experiences at this location with the rude the staff. Tonight, to avoid the crabby girl making the bowls, I decided to place an online order for a quesadilla. I knew it was burnt on my way home because all I could smell was burnt tortilla. I opened it up when I got home to see the burnt quesadilla as well as NO RICE even though it was on the order. Do not go to this location. VERY DISAPPOINTING

My husband and I have been going to Chipotle for years and by far this specific one is the worst. The staff are extremely rude and give attitude for no reason. And apparently we cannot order a quesadilla in person anymore? We ordered are burritos and a quesadilla but the girl said we were not allowed to, and we had to step aside, download their app to order the quesadilla then get back in line to order our other items. Poor customer service. Judging by the reviews this location already has, I am shocked it is still in business. We will not be returning to this one.

This location is pretty nice. Usually clean and the employees are friendly. The chips were really good and not over seasoned. The guacamole was really good too except one thing… (I’m vegan, so I don’t eat dairy.) There was some cheese mixed into the guacamole and I was unable to finish it. Also, while the lady who was putting meat into the bowls was finished making mine, she began serving the guy behind me who had meat and she was super close to dropping meat into my bowl. Maybe the employees should be a bit more conscious of cross contamination, because some people don’t all eat the same way. And that should be respected. And If I order guacamole… I’d expect it to not have cheese inside of it…

If I could give 0 stars I would. I ordered burrito bowl and hour later I got delivered spoonful of meat only. I contacted my delivery service and they were suppose to re deliver the new burrito bowl with updated instructions (add the rest of the meal)… well guess what … got the second bowl of meat only. I wish I was joking. So I am here… 3 hours later… hungry and with two spoons of chicken I payed $16 for. Thanks Chipotle!!!!

Chipotle is a good, quick, fresh and relatively healthy mexican food option to other fast food places in the area. I enjoy the build-your-own bowl/burrito/salad/tacos concept that includes a wide selection of proteins (pollo asado, chicken, steak, barbacoa, carnitas, plant-based). Most often I go with the chicken which has good grilled flavor and the different salsas (pico, corn, green-chili, red-chili). The large portions are filling. There seem to be a number of bad reviews on here, but I’ve been twice this week (inside to-go) fortunately with no issues.

I wish I was making this up. Today was the worst Chipotle experience we have had. My wife’s burrito was barely closed (the ends were actually open), and there was liquid from the ingredients leaking everywhere. My burrito bowl had even more liquid. So much liquid, I basically had soup. Additionally, the restaurant was out of lids for the burrito bowl, so it was covered with a piece of foil. It was smashed by the other items in the bag, and leaked in and through the bag. They were also serving what looked like cat food as plant based chorizo. When I asked the guy if that is the way it always looks, he said yes. I also had guac, which had brown spots all through it. It had an off taste. Again, I wish I was making this up.
