Standing in line waiting on an ingredient which is available on the drive thru side. They won’t serve that on the walk in side because app customers have already paid. This was rudely stated after I watched the employee serve the ingredient from the drive thru side to the person in front of me in line, and get yelled at for it. There are four of us in line waiting on chicken, and we can see that their drive thru is empty with no orders queued on screen. No attempt at apology has been made.. once chicken was available, the assembly line employee tended to pickup orders while others stood idle rather than helping the now six customers in line. Once my food was made, there was no offer of a discount, I was also charged twice because they didn’t think my card went through so I had to wait for the ride manager to come issue a refund. The food was good but that is expected from chipotle. I’ve had negative experiences at this location before but they were negligible and well handled. This is the most convenient location for me between work and home but I’ll do my best to avoid it in the future. With how expensive fast food has gotten, customer service should be rising, not declining.

I placed a mobile order this evening and selected drive-through pickup. I arrived a little later than the scheduled time, and there were three cars in front of me. Unfortunately, I waited about 20 minutes and the line never moved at all.
Since the app did not allow me to cancel the order or request a refund, I eventually went inside to check on it. The restaurant was not unusually crowded, and staff were working normally. After I gave my name, a staff member simply pulled my bag from the pickup shelf.
This is not the first time this has happened at this location. I completely understand that things can get busy, but it would have been helpful if someone had placed a sign at the drive-through window directing mobile orders to come inside instead of allowing customers to wait in line with no movement.

Worst chipotle location I’ve ever stepped foot in. Many items missing from the line, when asked they told us they ran out and not making any more during normal dinner time. Cross contamination meets bacteria fest is best way to describe this location. The host charged us for an extra bowl for which we got attitude from her (Anita) and the supervisor (Ashley). There was no ice in the ice machine but ice kept falling straight out and on to the floor whenever it made ice. No forks outside to eat food with. Every table was dirty (we cleaned it ourselves). If we weren’t on a road trip from Florida to North Carolina and hadn’t already paid for the food (traveling with large group of people did not want to inconvenience the group) we never would’ve ate there. Host and manager said “ go ahead and complain. And don’t come back” when I said I’ll be complaining about their location. Called chipotle customer service to complaint to which we were told they’ve submitted a copy of our receipt and videos of the filth (which they asked me to submit) but basically couldn’t do anything about it at the time. I don’t want my money back… just want people to be treated fairly. If you don’t have half of your menu how can you justify charging full price or even being open. I’ll reach out to board of health in the morning so others don’t have to experience this.

NO sense of urgency in this place. The line will be 30 people deep and workers will be standing there on their phones moving slow. There is constantly 10-15 people waiting on their pickup orders that were promised at that time or up to an hour beforehand and nothing is ever prepared or made. They ignore the pickup people and continue working on walk in orders. Highly understaffed and slow moving. No one is willing to help or work. So unprofessional.

I visited Chipotle today and had one of the best customer service experiences I’ve had in a long time. John was awesome. He was working both the checkout counter and making the food, and he handled everything with efficiency, kindness, and professionalism.
He was polite, patient, and genuinely friendly qualities you don’t always come across these days. I usually avoid Chipotle unless I’m really craving it because I expect to be disappointed, but John completely changed that today. His excellent service made the entire visit enjoyable.
Chipotle needs more employees like him!

I am extremely disappointed with the experience I had during my recent visit. I paid $26.00 for two bowls, and the quality and service were completely unacceptable.
The containers were messy, and the staff had run out of brown rice, scraping the bottom of the pan just to fill my order. Nearly all the pans on the line were empty. I ordered a vegetable bowl, but had to wait while the employee hastily threw onions and peppers on the grill, which came out half-cooked.
It’s very disheartening to pay that much money and receive food that looks and tastes terrible. This location is clearly in need of better management and staff training. I can confidently say that this will be the last time I spend a dime at Chipotle. The food and service are disappointing.

0/5 – Absolutely Atrocious. Avoid at All Costs.
This Chipotle on Killian Road in Columbia, SC is hands down one of the worst fast-food experiences I’ve ever had—and judging by the 2.8 rating with 500+ reviews, I’m clearly not alone.
From the moment you walk in, it’s a disaster. Lines wrapping around the store with little to no staff actually working, employees moving at a glacial pace (or disappearing entirely), and zero sense of urgency or care. It feels completely unmanaged.
The service is horrible, the cleanliness is unacceptable, and the food is constantly wrong. Orders are messed up regularly, ingredients are missing, portions are inconsistent, and no one seems to care when mistakes are pointed out. It’s like basic Chipotle standards don’t exist here.
What’s most frustrating is that this has clearly been going on for a long time. With this many bad reviews, it’s obvious that corporate, headquarters, or the franchise owner needs to step in immediately. This location is an embarrassment to the Chipotle brand.
At this point, it’s not even disappointing—it’s expected. Clearly, the owner or management does not care, and it shows in every aspect of this place.
Hopefully someone with authority actually does something and turns this location around, because right now it’s absolutely unacceptable. Until then, do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else.

Had a great experience at Chipotle today, and I wanted to take a moment to share it! It’s so common to see negative reviews, but positive experiences deserve just as much recognition. Gary provided excellent customer service—he was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. The food was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I wanted. It’s refreshing to have such a smooth and enjoyable visit, and I truly appreciate the effort the team puts in.

Always having staffing issues. Placed an order online at around like 5:45 pm with a pick up of 6:10 pm, I probably pulled up around to this chipotle at 6:20ish. The line was going to the main road. Sat in line for over almost 20-25 minutes. This is like the 3rd time waiting for awhile. I will say just judging from looking inside from my truck, looked like only 2-3 employees in there. Most chipotle’s I’ve ordered from. I’ve seen at a minimum of 6 working. Someone also needs to teach whoever does the scheduling for this location on personal management. So instead of waiting cause I was like the 9th vehicle in line and the line si not move for 20-25 minutes I just pulled out of line. And went to Freddy’s next to chipotle and got something to eat from there instead. I would love a refund and I have no clue if the app would deal with that. I just feel bad for the employees the 2-3 of them I saw working with 30 plus people waiting inside and in the driver thru line for orders.

TERRIBLE NO TASTE BURNT. They didn’t attempt to make this food taste reasonable. Service is terrible. Left the vinegar out. Wait for this disgusting food was 20 minutes. Cold and the girl boy at the window needs a new job. Maybe a security position at Walmart. Loss prevention pays pretty good. WASTE OF $17.50. Chick fil a is a few doors up.
