This is a very busy Chipotle location, especially at lunchtime in downtown Columbia. I went in just after their lunch rush and was waited on quickly and efficiently. I got a chicken bowl and the portion was large and the food was good. Normal Chipotle fare! I got my order to go, but I do like the outside seating in their covered, shady patio.

I’m sure the Gervais Street Chipotle will be a place people can trust. People will have the confidence to approach this establishment knowing they can order in person, have all of their favorite chipotle items available, pay with cash or card, use the facilities, sit down at a clean table, and place their trash in a trash can that’s not overflowing. The Gervais street Chipotle seldom possesses any of those qualities, but I’m quite hopeful that they will get there one day! Unfortunately, this Chipotle was very disappointing and nowhere near the standard the brand used to represent. The overall customer service felt extremely robotic and disengaged. Employees appeared annoyed to be there, showed little to no communication, and did not make customers feel welcomed at all. The only time there seemed to be any interaction was when employees were speaking among themselves, which made the lack of customer engagement even more noticeable.
Cleanliness was also a major issue. The dining area was not well maintained, tables were left dirty, and there was no visible effort to keep the seating area clean while customers were present. This created an uninviting environment and made the restaurant feel neglected.
On top of that, the food quality was lacking. Portions and freshness were not what I’ve experienced at other Chipotle locations, and the overall presentation and care put into the food felt rushed and careless.
Overall, this location has clearly declined in both service and quality. With poor customer service, cleanliness issues, and disappointing food, this experience did not meet expectations. I would not recommend this Chipotle and hope management takes these concerns seriously to improve the experience for future customers.

I ordered Uber Eats delivery. My food was delivered on time, the issue is, it’s not what I ordered. I ordered a burrito and what I got was ingredients thrown into a Tupperware. I also ordered chips and guacamole. Only the chips were in the bag. I couldn’t expect the Uber eats driver to check the food because the bag is sealed. I am confused as to how you print out the sticker that shows my order, put it on the Tupperware and not see that what is packed is not what I ordered.

I’m honestly really disappointed with my experience at Chipotle. The restaurant was visibly dirty — tables weren’t wiped down, the floors looked like they hadn’t been swept in hours, and the overall environment just felt unsanitary.
On top of that, the portions were extremely small. I paid full + double price and barely received half a scoop of rice and protein. When I asked for more each time the staff seemed annoyed instead of helpful.
The customer service was unprofessional and lacked basic courtesy. No greeting, no eye contact, and overall just an unpleasant attitude.
For the prices they charge, this location needs to seriously improve cleanliness, portion consistency, and professionalism. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

I’ve been to the Chipotle on Gervais St. in Columbia multiple times, and unfortunately the only thing that seems guaranteed and consistent is poor, slow service. Every visit feels like a long wait, even when the store isn’t particularly busy. The line moves at a crawl, and it often seems like there’s little urgency from the staff to keep things moving.
What makes the experience worse is that when you ask simple questions about your order, and the staff frequently respond with an attitude instead of helpful customer service. It creates an uncomfortable atmosphere and makes you feel like you’re inconveniencing them just by ordering.
Chipotle is usually known for quick, efficient service, but this location consistently misses the mark. I hope management takes a closer look at the customer experience here, because the food can be good but the service makes it hard to want to come back.

Please never go to this chipotle. They have never had chicken or literally any food ever before. If you want to eat there, prepare to eat one scoop of a poorly sized portion of brown rice because they’ll be out of white rice. They might be able to give you stale chips if you’re lucky. I’m not sure what the workers do all day, and if you own this chipotle, please consider firing all of your staff and rehiring new staff, OR, just close the place down at this point because this is awful. I’m not sure how your rating is above a 1 star because this is the worst food establishment I’ve ever been to. Not even worst chipotle, worst food establishment.

Tables weren’t bussed and were topped with food debris, trash bins are stuffed, filthy , debris ridden floors.
My family frequently visits the Two Notch , Killian Road, and Trenholm Plaza locations and this location is a dump! Chipotle corporate has to do something about this disgusting disaster! Absolutely unacceptable and by no means meeting Chipotle’s and food safety standards!
I should’ve read the reviews on Google before even considering eating here! That would’ve saved me a trip to this train wreck!
It took over 30 minutes before we could even order, yet take out/ mobile orders were being fulfilled. They had 4 or 5 people here just standing around and when they finally started moving the line, customers were met with rude workers with attitudes! Terrible customer service!

Food and staff were friendly, but this is the third Chipotle I’ve been to in Columbia that’s absolutely trashed when I went. Straw wrappers everywhere, tables haven’t been wiped off etc. got here about 4pm, there were two other customers. After I got my food, it seemed like rush hour, so it’s understandable if staff can’t get to the tables to clean. But this is the third Chipotle I’ve been to in Columbia that doesn’t seem to bother with trash on the ground. And I mean a LOT of it, the outside was CRAZY dirty.

I ordered delivery via the chipotle app due to being sick. I paid $25 for delivery. I ordered a BOWL and a BURRITO was delivered. On tbe burrito label it clearly read “BOWL.” I cannot eat the burrito because im ALLERGIC TO GLUTEN. So i had to drive to the store myself. When i told staff what happend the woman i spoke to was rude and unapologetic. No apologies, no helpful responses. Just blank stared at me. They remade the bowl- with very small portions. I am very upset and out of the money i paid for delivery because i had to DRIVE MYSELF to the store and back while having the flu- which is why I ordered delivery in the first place. Worst Chipotle of all time i swear
